  1. I think Bredesen said he had received a letter from restaurant owners/managers asking him to veto the bill. Can we see a copy of that letter and who sent it to him. I'd like to know which restaurants to begin boycotting.
  2. I'd love to pack the gang from Memphis up and join the fun! Please post a date as soon as you know.
  3. There are a few minor differences but the biggest differences are the accessory rail and the PCR has an alloy frame that is lighter. I've seen a P01 and it looks a lot bigger because of the accessory rail. I looked for 2 1/2 months to find this one online. I don't like buying a gun that I haven't shot, much less held but, this one is a winner! Great accuracy and fits the hand like a glove. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
  4. I've had the CZ 75D PCR for about 6 weeks now and finally was able to get to the range! The wife and I went and put 250 rounds through it without a hitch. I think she began to get attached to it so she might give back my XD45C. (also pictured) The PCR and the XD45C. The wife took her HCP class with the XD45C. After shooting the 9mm PCR she said, "the .45 kicks a lot more!" (The XD was jealous.) I carry a Kel Tec P3AT because of the attire at work but these are my "not at work" carry guns.
  5. I don't think we'll have many restaurants post against carry either. What I think we may see is some restaurant put up signs that are not "properly posted". What bothers me about that is, depending on the cop, if they are called, you could end up in the back of the car with your gun confiscated. (The attorney will probably cost you more than the gun did to prove that they were wrong!) With all of the stories about LEOs not knowing the HCP laws, this could easily happen. I think we need to draft a form letter that we can mail to the restaurants that display a, legal or not, sign to tell them that we are disappointed in their decision and our family of five (or however many) will not patronize their business because of that decision. It's amazing how much a well written letter gets done!
  6. I don't know if I really "forget" that I'm ever carrying but, it is kind of like having a wallet in your pocket. You realize it's there but you don't consciously think about it.
  7. FYI.... Range USA just outside of Memphis is not only open but, it is HALF price!!!! They are open fro 10-5 on Memorial Day.
  8. Thanks Tucker13! I was camping at Pickwick! 5... will not happen until tomorrow.
  9. Let me know what you find! My wife wants the same gun. She can shoot my XD45C but didn't like my Para Warthog because of the recoil. I thought my Kel Tec P11 was perfect but she doesn't like the DAO trigger. Arrrrgh! She says her wardrobe will not allow a gun the size of the XD45C. I'm working on the holster options for her now so she will understand that the right holster makes many guns "disappear".
  10. I had a Para Hawg (not the slim) and loved it. The only issue I had with it is that you had to keep a tight grip on it or you could get a FTF. I could shoot it all day without a problem but it would FTF on other shooters trying it out. The 1911s just weren't designed to work best in a 3 or 3.5 inch barrel IMO. Come to think of it, I was not really impressed with the finish on the Hawg either. It was flaking off in places. I moved on to a XD45C that is a little bigger but has yet to fail me.
  11. I picked up a CZ75D PCR about a month or so ago and was going to order a MTAC for it. (I like the MTAC that I use with my XD45C.) However, Comp-Tac does not do the PCR model of the CZ line! Arrrrgh! After some serious soul searching, I decided to go with a K & D Thunderbird Defender. Kevin has changed these so they can be worn IWB or OWB and it is tuckable. I have heard nothing but praise about his holsters and will have to wait patiently. (Kevin actually answered the phone when I called to order the holster.) Pictures to follow..... in 14 to 16 weeks!!!!!!!
  12. Will Memorial Day being a holiday change the 10 day countdown?
  13. I just checked the bill's status page (Tennessee General Assembly Legislation) and saw that the House Speaker signed it yesterday and the Senate Speaker signed it today!!!! Let's begin the countdown!!!! Would May 30th be the magic day if Bredesen doesn't sign it? Doesn't the House/Senate let out on the 28th for summer vacation? What if Bredesen vetoed on the 29th? When would the House/Senate be back to over ride the veto? This timing looks awful funny to me.......
  14. I'm ready to start the ten day countdown! (If he gets it today, then I assume the 29th would be the magic day???) Can anyone confirm that it is on his desk yet?
  15. I emailed yesterday but didn't get a chance to call until 5:15 this evening. I received the voicemail box and I left a message. Wouldn't it be great to fill up the voicemail box with pro-HB0962 messages?
  16. I keep mine pretty simple: Seiko SKX173 for nights and weekends Oris TT1 with metal bracelet for work and church Unfortunately, I have to keep exchanging them to keep them both wound! Argh! The life of trying to maintain two automatics!!!!
