  1. Thanx for the tip - back when I lived in NC, some of my friends on the NCHP talked about "Flitz" and I totally forgot about it until your mention of it.

Any idea where you can get it or should I just look on the net?

    BTW . . . welcome, tn hp

  2. When I sent it to the other work at S&W, I asked about some "clean up" and the gunsmith called to tell me that the gentleman in charge was out with a heart attack and it would be quite some time before I would get the gun back, so I elected not to do anything then.

Good point . . . if nothing comes up here, I should reinvestigate that.

  3. My 686 2.5" in stainless steel is looking a bit ragged. I bought it second hand; has a few minor rust spots on it.

BTW . . . I sent it back to S&W, had the hammer "bobbed" and the action smoothed - very cheap and returned very fast. Something for you S&W fans to think about.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to clean it up or some type of new refinish job?

As always, thanks for the feedback of all the good folks here - I genuinely appreciate all of you and all that I learn from you.

  4. Every afternoon, a man walks down to the fishin' hole with nothing but a tackle box - no fishing pole - and in an hour or so, comes down the road with a stringer of fish.

The game warden sees this four days in a row and does not understand what is going on.

On day five, the game warden follows the man to the fishin' hole and watches from a distance. The man opens the tackle box and takes out a stick of dynamite, lights it, throws it into the water, and BOOM! Dead fish rise, and the man strings them up.

The game warden walks up to the man and tells him what he is doing is illegal.

The man's response: he lights a stick of dynamite, hands it to the game warden, and says, "You gonna stand there or ar you gonna fish?"

  5. OK, so I am looking at the Ruger LCP, and everyone takes their shot at me for wanting a .380. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO . . . feedback time again.

Suggest some small double actions in a larger caliber than a .380.

As always, thanks for your feedback. :koolaid:
