Anybody an officer in the TN army national guard? I went and talked to a recruiter today to get some information. I have a BS and MS degree so I would go through the BCT and OCS if i did it. My biggest reservation is not being able to see my daughter during training and deployment.

dang i wish i had HVAC experience and lived in tricities area. Need job bad. Been unemployed since last fall.

Just finished up the double mag carrier.

Of course nobody really knows how it would have played out, but my guess is that if the GG didn't intervene, the BG would not have had the shotgun pointed at him. The BG would have taken the money and left. Its a gamble either way. You risk getting shot by intervening and accidentally shooting someone else in the store when you start shooting 6-7 rounds and only hitting your mark twice. Just one stray bullet in a store is no bueno. My personal opinion is that i carry for myself. If I do not have to intervene I won't. If the gun is pointing at someone else and the perp hasn't fired any shots, i would rather have them walk out with money with zero shots fired from anyone. The risk of the BG start shooting because someone tried to be a hero is not something i am willing to take. And just because you carry doesn't mean you should get involved. He's lucky he didn't shoot anybody else.

Whats the date code of it? It will have two letters to the left of the serial # on the slide, like AE or something. Once you find the date code, you can figure out the year it was manufactured. http://www.hk-usa.com/civilian_products/k.asp I wouldn't worry about how old it is as much as how many rounds. I wouldn't hesitate buying a used HK especially at that price.

SK is my EDC and love it. If you get one, get a LEM variant and do the light LEM spring swap. Got mine used with five mags for 575. You should be able to find a good used one for 600-650.

I don't care what anyone says, that guy should be fired. You can see the car at 1:20. He slowed down and after he passed it up, he speed up again and says he's terminating the chase. There is no way that he could have missed that car. Parked car in a tree my ass. He says he tried to put the fire out. Right.... He rolls up to the car at 5:40 and sees it on fire, He doesn't get out with the fire extinguisher until 6:40. Then his lame attempt to put out the fire spaying it all over the place but the flame. WTF? Everyone knows you shoot it as the base not the top of the flame.
