  1. If I remember correctly, the diamond on the grips date it to <1968.
  2. Is the model number not inside the cylinder?
  3. I guess I need to get a roofer out here to tell me what quality of shingles I have and how much it would cost to replace the roof. This sounds like something that I'll need to plan ahead. It seems the deductible plus out of pocket expenses for shingles would be fairly substantial.
  4. According to what I've been reading, due to the sever tornadoes, hail storms and floods in recent years, Farm Bureau has been paying out more money than they've brought in since 2008. I'm not sure how that compares to other insurance companies.
  5. I was wondering if other insurance companies have made similar changes.    Farm Bureau sent me a letter to inform me that they have made changes to their coverage for replacing roofs has changed. Much like automobile insurance takes into account the actual cash value (deprecation), it appears Farm Bureau is doing the same thing where roof replacement is concerned. It appears they will still cover 100% of the labor costs, but are prorating the roofing materials. They will now be paying anywhere from 25% to 100%, depending on the age and type (quality) of the existing roofing materials.   I am somewhat new to this whole homeowner thing, but I suspect builders don't worry about using top quality shingles. In return, this means higher out out expenses for the homeowner, in the event you need to file a claim for a damaged roof.   Anyone else receiving similar letters from other insurance companies?
  6. Gun range responds to noise, safety complaints from neighbors
  7. I spent some more time looking at his galleries, and I did spot a few that didn't appear quite up to par with the rest of his work. Maybe they were some of his first.
  8. Huh?  :stunned:  It may be brutal, but incredibly stupid is a bit much.
  9. I prefer a skeletonized trigger, but that is a very nice lookin' No Name. As Garufa said, just how they should look. Clean.
  10. I haven't ordered anything yet, but I thought I'd pass this along. This guy does custom, made-to-order exotic grips, holsters, and other leather work.  Because everything is made to order, he doesn't have any prices listed. I did get some rough ideas from him, and considering the time, effort, and what appears to be quality workmanship that goes into making these pieces, I think the prices are pretty good. If you go to the website and look for the USMC holster and Punisher holster, those were done for $150 and $125. The snake skin grips sell for about $125, or about $100 if you send him the grips to be covered.    http://www.trinitygunleather.com/
  11. I've thought about it, but after about 500-600 in a day, the fun begins to wear off for me.    Best of luck to you guys. Be safe.
  12. Never done it myself, but I know someone who does. He sells it.
  13. Congratulations to you and Mrs. Alleycat. A very wonderful thing both of you have decided to do. Are the children related to you?
  14. I also use Chrome. It now works with the media tags.
  15. Are they actually paving, or possibly seal coating? I think Gypsies are more into seal coating. it's cheaper and easier, especially when they dilute the sealer with water.    I had a neighbor who learned about Gypsies the hard way. He paid them (in advance) to paint his barn. When they left, it was "painted". Of course that was until it rained a few days later. I don't know exactly what they did, but it appeared that they likely watered down the paint.
  16. Guilty.  :yum:
  17. As i will have to work within the rules given by Starbucks. Luckily, I followed their rules before they decided to implement them. It will be business as usual for me.
  18. I think it's safe to assume that is very accurate. If the NRA is willing to give huge chunks of [my] money to venues who don't allow the carrying of firearms, I won't feel guilty for slurping down my caramel mocha frappuccinos. All while carrying my firearm. Concealed, of course.
  19. By the way, when was the last NRA convention that allowed any carrying of firearms, much less open carry?
  20. Salted caramel mocha frappuccino.  :yum:  The salt part is a seasonal (fall/winter) thing. Anyone know when they start serving it?
  21. I'm not an expert on this subject, but I thought a fellow member who is also in the tech business said that anything over a certain speed (much, much lower than 1gbps ) is useless, for one reason or another. I very well could have misunderstood.
  22. I'll give that a shot. is there a reason behind that requirement for the initial post, but not the subsequent posts?
  23. For some reason, when I create a thread and attempt to post a YouTube to the first post, the video will not appear. I post the same link to the second post, the video appears. Any reason for this?
