  1. anyone catch how much the sig 228 went for?
  2. i use to race these things as well, they are alot of fun. one place i would look on the web is rctech.net for info on every aspect of this hobby, there are some people who really know what they are talking about on there, if you're going to stick to the electric/bashing side mainly, check out rcmonster.com, they can help you with brushless motor/esc/lipo battery combos. if i was getting into the hobby and looking just to play around i might look at this - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_44_1258/products_id/213514/n/HPI-Vorza-Flux-HP-Brushless-RTR-1-8-Scale-Buggy-w-24GHz-Radio t/w a good lipo charger and some good batteries, 1/8 buggies are tough as nails and hpi parts are not hard to find. can't help you much with nitro, i hated it
  3. starting to find this out, franklin gun shop had one yesterday but it was 849, i'll wait, but only so long
  4. have been thinking about my first ar too, my thoughts were to buy a complete rifle, M&P 15 Sport, first, learn about how it works, then put together a suppressed sbr ar

    Best 10-22 barrel?

not trying to hijack here, but having been given a bnib 20 some odd year old remington speedmaster 552 i've been been faced with this question, spend $$ on the 552 or sell it and put together a nice 10/22?
  6. really glad to hear it is open! i live 5 minutes from there
  7. where in hendersonville is the show? i'm not too familiar with the area
  8. very nice gun you got there, .40 or 9mm?

    Red Jacket AR

i enjoy watching the show cause i feel i learn alittle about guns and how they operate every show, between that show and American Guns i've become somewhat addicted to guns, but the whole Vince leaving (and possibly coming back now) really has me thinking the shows writers are working overtime on the drama... end of thread hijack back on topic
  10. an m1a will cure your problems
  11. looks like its time to go shoot abunch of different makes and models
  12. to answer your question yes i shot a glock either 17 or 19 not sure in a basic shooters safety class and didn't like the way the gun felt in my hand at all, i just couldn't get a firm comfortable grip on it. I also kept anticipating the shot which caused every round to travel down and to the left, something that 200 or so rounds as someone metioned might cure that. i've held a co-workers 1911 and it felt like a glove, just like all of the sig p-series guns i've held (220, 225, 226, 229). the plan is to start shooting with 9mm since ammo is cheaper and eventually carry either a 45 or 357 sig. i appreciate all the advice from you guys as you've all been here before so thanks, i just don't see myself ever being a plastic gun guy, not knocking it at all, i totally see where carrying a lighter gun would be advantagious, i'm just old school i guess
  13. i don't care much at all for the way a glock fits my hand, at the moment i'm drawn to sigs as they seem to fit my hand perfectly
  14. I'm fairly new to the shooting hobby and i'm looking for something with the same trigger pull each and every time. Is there such a thing?
  15. had my eyes on the carry version of this very gun for awhile now but can't seem to get over want for a 1911, which do you enjoy shooting more, the p220 or your 1911's?

    Sig MK25

i'm in the market for a p-series sig and i do like this gun but is it worth twice as much as a used 226 or even a 228? i'm a noob to the gun world so please excuse my ignorance
  18. being a firsttime gun buyer in the next week or two this is all very good info. i've been told to stay away from certain places because they were high priced but i cannot wait to make the trip north to guns and leather, i hear they have a good selection of sigs
