Big fan of the Blazer bulk. Matter of fact it is the only bulk ammo my 10/22 will now shoot reliably since I installed a fancy target barrel. Very accurate too.

The barrel bands only come off one way...by sliding forward. They may be stuck with cosmo or shellac. Get your lady's hairdryer and heat the are up a little. See if they move then.

I know more about typing on Etch a Sketch's than I do hunting but boars are big, heavy, tough critters. I would want penetration over expansion when trying to fend one off with a pistol. Now, a .357 magnum hollow point might be a little different.

All it needs is cleaning. Pay special attention to the recess on the barrel where the extractor rests when the bolt is closed. It is fairly deep and quickly gets full of crud. Use a toothpick to get up in there.

Can never have enough Smiths and that is an excellent price. FYI, there was a recall on the 586 no dashes. Is there an "M" stamped on the yoke? Google it.

If you are going to carry while hiking do so because of the two-legged varmits. There is a greater chance of getting hit by lighting than being attacked by a wild animal of any kind that prefers to steer clear of people, and they all do, rightfully so.
