I guess it’s too pedestrian for the booze snobs these days.

I honesty think there is a lot of overreaction going on in response to this ruling. It’s the unlicensed dealers this is targeted at. Those guys who always have a couple of tables minimum at gun shows who always have brand new in the box handguns, or ones that keep going back to the gun store to buy the same thing over and over again then flipping them, etc., and most importantly, promising to do so for others. I have not been to a show in over 4 years but I do recall one of the regulars who always had lots of brand new stuff…all “private sale”. If I’m not mistaken he made the news a few years ago after being busted for being “engaged in the business”.

Things the next generation simply won't understand

Start hanging around enough old people you’ll catch a whiff for sure. I can’t stand the smell of them…the mothballs that is, lol. -
for-sale Yugo 8MM Mauser Preduzece 44 Model 98 Rifle
Garufa replied to MinerJohn's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Preduzece 44 was a Yugoslavian gun factory that reworked German K98’s after WWII before they started making M48’s. It literally translates to “factory 44”, not the original year of production. -
Trump Accuser Gets Pass for NY Gun Violation

So? -
He’s just farsighted, common among those in command of weapons that fire over the horizon.

Hank Schrader was Walter White's DEA agent brother-in-law in Breaking Bad. I think someone is yanking your chain.

The penalty is overly excessive considering what the average scumbag gets away with.

It’s not as simple as that. It is holding parents responsible for the actions of their minor child. Big difference.

Totin' Teachers Bill Heads for a Vote
Garufa replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You bring up an excellent point. It is often said that one who carries a firearm for self defense is not responsible for the protection of others. Is the state now making teachers responsible for the safety of kids in their classrooms using deadly force? Will they have the same training and legal protections of LE? -
Go get a 16” .308 with no muzzle device and report back .
-
That .308 AK was probably what set off the uptight neighbor. Without a doubt one of the loudest guns I’ve ever heard.
-
There is now. What’s your recipe?
-
Anyone remember 311 from the ‘90’s? They’re tighter than ever now, lol.

Are you a retired Firefighter from CT? With a guaranteed pension? I ask because there are also one helluva lot of people moving in with pensions from those liberal states. Pensions are nearly a thing of the past in our conservative utopia.

It is putting a massive strain on healthcare resources. Knoxville doesn’t have the medical infrastructure to handle this kind of growth, especially from a regional standpoint. Another big problem is resources for the elderly. Not only are there not enough independent and assisted living facilities, many transplants are bringing their parents or whatever with them and putting them directly into those kinds of places. Not to mention possibly being at the age themselves they might need one soon.

East TN is full.

Well, the term “common sense” has been in use forever. Those who throw it around the most usually don’t know what they’re talking about.

And if we stopped all foreign funding we will essentially be flushed down the toilet of world history. Maybe Chinese and Russian children will be taught in future generations of the capitalist pigs that lived on this continent, but only in terms of reinforcing their own superiority.

Then the price of new cars just went up. Like they’re already affordable.
-
Depending on the transportation of goods affected by this incident, you might be paying out of pocket at the store just like everyone has in the past 4 years. Prices have gone up tremendously and that is directly related to pandemic policies and the disruption of the supply chain. If the bridge is that important then “we” will pay to rebuild it asap. Your tax dollars, mine, and everyone else that pays federal taxes. Even Biden’s government will go after whoever they can for compensation from insurance or the shipping company that owns the defective ship.
-
Yep. I wonder how much prices in general are going to go up now due to this new hitch in the supply chain. I’m being a bit facetious, but also serious. Where do the boats with European ammo shipments land? Hope it’s not around there.

Communist Dem's want to block Vets from gun ownership
Garufa replied to AuEagle's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
SSDD. This has been proposed before, probably every year by now. -
Is it wrong to keep guns you have no interest in for sentiment reasons?
Garufa replied to pssman308's topic in General Chat
Nothing wrong with it at all, but it is ok to let some go if you really want or need to. I’ve only sold 2 of my father’s guns. One, a beat up 1918 peddled scheme Enfield that was half-assedly sporterized and missing the saftey. I pulled it out of a trash heap by the street at my grandmother’s house when I was a kid and even he said he didn’t want it, lol. The other was a Marlin bolt action .22 Magnum. He bought it when I was a kid, why .22 Magnum I have no idea. Great rifle and if was .22lr I might have kept it…but I’ve uh, expanded the collection since then and there’s only so much space. Don’t miss them at all, some his others I’ll never let go of.
