I will have my 91/30, complete with bayonet attached, up at Norris tomorrow for the shoot. Primarily as a convenience. I can just sit there and poke holes in the target and change them out without firing a shot.

So um today is the 15th.
2 hours to go according to Ruger's countdown clock on their website.

I'm tired of living in a van down by the river.
Come on now, Matt.

Any suggestions on where to get more mags?
There's a gun show at the Expo next weekend.

That AK looks great! Wood is really nice.

Congrats. Pictures mean it happened!
Bring it up to Norris Saturday for the ET TGO shoot.

If you had a house in Hell and one in Memphis and had to choose which one to live in most would sell the one in Memphis.
Have you ever been there? Just curious as I've been conducting an unscientific study the past 20 years of why East Tennesseans hate Memphis so much.

Big fan of the Expert here. That's what I was shooting the last time we were down in Mike's little holler. Performs flawlessly for me where the Remington stuff causes problems.

I think what is really important is how safe is Graceland should this soil liquification happen, and do you all out that way take advantage of being so close to it.
do you all go to Graceland?
Was born and raised in Memphis. Never stepped foot in Graceland until I was about 28 and had been in Knoxville for 8 years.
I don't know about now, but it's not really something the natives do, as least not anyone I knew.
2009 is kind of an anniversary for Mud Island (the sand bar, not the houses) as it did not even exist before 1909. It started forming 100 years ago.

I'll endeavor to be there around 11:00 am.
If I recall correctly there might be a plastic -house on site but cannot guarantee. Have not been there in a while. I do know there are no coke machines, sandwich machines or any other such conviences.

David Prowse who played Darth Vader in the first 3 Star Wars movies will be in Knoxville for Adventurecon in mid June. Not that I have a vintage Don Post helmet for him to sign or am into anything that geeky
Will James Earl Jones narrate at the show?

For all you M1 fans, here's a great episode of Mail Call with none other than R. Lee whoopin' up the Garand...
Hulu - Mail Call: Episode 3 - Watch the full episode now.
You can't beat the Gunny!

If she's as tight as you say...wait a minute what I mean to say is if it patterns they way you suggest would make a great gun for turkey shoots in the fall. Saw a shotty like that at one last year, dude took home a bunch of prizes.
I would never consider cutting it. But that's just who I am.
Never be worth anything to anybody if butchered and another piece of history is gone.

What time do the festivities begin? I guess we ought to set some kind of time for everyone to think about. But it's all casual.
And for everyone that's never been up to Norris go to the PD first! I don't know if they ever come up and check who's shooting but the man says you best have a receipt if they do.

Well crap! If it wasn't for work half the day I might just have been there with you guys. Looks like ya'll had a good time!
But I did put the one and only coat of BLO on a Garand stock this afternoon (after about 10 of pure tung oil) and broke the front sight loose and adjusted so it would be proper!
Did Mike.357 wear that steel army hat all day?

Much to the chagrin of the Commerical Appeal, Knoxville NS and other ignorant newspapers and TV stations of this state, restaurants are not going to start posting signs to keep guns out. Since the great majority of all the eateries that people get all warm and fuzzy about (at least in Knoxville) are crappy national chains, it will take some time for any type of ban.
For the other 5 or 10 % of the restaurants in the state that are owned and operated locally. Very few will post. First they have no idea what's going on, nor do they care! Secondly, it's hard enough to compete.

They have been making them for several years, I just learned about the .45 version last week, Sphinx Systems Ltd. while there is definitely nothing wrong with the original CZ pistols, they are the only manufacturer good enough to make Swiss Ordnance Pistols and they are put together like a swiss watch which is something I am quite fond of
The Sphinx 3000! Why didn't you say so! I like it just for the name.

Soak turtle in whiskey until well seasoned.
Removed turtle and drink whiskey!

Never heard of 'em. Obviously a CZ clone which indicates fine accuracy to me.

Welcome or is it welcome back? Nice pics!
Your work area is far too organized and clean. How do you find anything?

Who is this guy and why is he not bragging on being an AMERICAN, if he loves this country so much?
-
When people quit buying it at those prices.
Amen.

That poll is in regards to carrying guns in bars. Last I heard, we were gonna carry in restaurants. Either way, added one to the + column.

The Bearcat is a small full-sized gun. Nevertheless, I think it's one of the greatest .22 SA's ever. My mom has an "original" bought at a gas station over in West Memphis in the '60's (pre-68). She won't let me even touch it! I might just try to make off with it.
