IMO, there is not very little difference between the MP, Hellcat, P 365, Glocks, Ruger Max 9/ LCP, or any of the mid-range priced "Fantastic Plastic" Mini or Micro pistols.  These are pistols in the 400 to 500 dollar range. All are fairly cheap and very reliable pistols. My 3 MP have been flawless with anyone I allow to shoot them.

I agree.  To me they are all about the same. I know pop pop and I both settled on the Max 9. Mine has the CTS1550 RDS on it.

Acknowledging that @Moped has keenly developed enabling skills and therefore ask he, or anyone local, keep an eye open for one of the S&W 432 UC (.32 H&R mag) that Lipsey's was so instrumental in bringing to reality.

It's not that I need one but Man! Do I ever want one. 🙂

That's $500.00 worth of useful custom work rolled into a reasonable factory price. No fluff, just a serious little pocket revolver.

    TIA

Jamie, Crossroads Firearms in Knoxville didn't have the .32 H&R version, but they did have the 642UC. I handled it last week and was super impressed!!!

I am also looking for the 432 or 632UC. If I run across one, I will let you know, if I don't decide to buy it. 🙂

They also have Model 21 Gen 4 .45 acp trade ins on the ckunter for $349 with 4 mags and a bag.

    That's also a hell of a deal!!!

Dang it! I got two over in layaway at Crossroads right now. I just don't need a third one in layaway right now!!! 😢

Of course, the Winchester 94, could come out of layaway in the next couple of weeks, so I would only have two in... 🤔

It's surprised the heck outta me...but only one member of my family interested in things like slug throwers anymore. So I'm holding a few in reserve for a cousin and his son, but the rest I plan on selling over the next few years. I hope. If we don't all get reamed by the current gubment!

As long as the Government stays out our business, I think at least one of mine will want my small collection of shooters.

@hipower, I am available for adoption, though I’m probably near your age. 😉

I'm a bit surprised here. CMP has mostly dealt in genuine U.S. military surplus arms. I've never heard of them offering any commercial firearms except maybe a few .22 Target Rifles.

I've always heard good things about Tisas. But then again, they just issued a massive recall on many of their 1911 pistols for a safety issue.  The jury is still out for me.  🙄

Gotta admit its a good price. But I wonder what kind of hoops you'll need to jump through to get one? They caught my attention, but I'll wait and see.

The recall is for specific models and skews. You can see it here.

I showed this to a friend of mine and he said it’s for the cheapskates that want a CMP 1911 but don’t want to pony up the dough for a real one. 😂

Honestly, he’s probably right. But this puts money in CMP’s pockets. I’d bet more money, they probably need that money. No one here really believes the current administration in the White House and the Defense Department is a friend of the CMP. My guess is they’d love to see the CMP go away.

Anyone have an idea of the current value of the Rossi 720 3" in almost like new condition?

Somewhere in the $300 to $400 range I imagine.  Less, if you go to trade in at a LGS, though.

Edited: Found one on Guns America that was rated at 98% that sold for $328. No idea when that was though.

    That's intriguing @Moped. I hadn't even considered Charter Arms.

I've been following recent .32 developments and shooting my LCR with .32 S&W longs and .32 H&R mags (handloads) and can really appreciate where it looks like the industry/community is heading with this.

I'd like the opportunity to try one of these (rental?) so I'll keep an eye open.

Looking forward to folks experiences and thoughts on these.

    Thanks!

If you find rental, let me know. I’d like to try it. That Taurus 327 TORO looks good too. Just haven’t found one to look at.

  8. Has anyone looked at the Charter Arms Professional in .32 H&R? It's a 7 shot revolver with a 3" barrel length. There's a lot of interested being generated right now, with a Lipsey's exclusive release of the S&W 432/632 in .32 H&R next month.  That got me on hunt for an alternative and then I found the Charter Arms Professional at Bud's.

  9. I had one for a number of years, until some asshole broke into my house and stole it, along with a Browning HP. It outshot every factory 1911 I put it up against.  Notice I said factory, not custom. The only thing I did was change the grips out and add a two piece, full length guide rod. I still have the box, in the hopes that one day someone will pawn it or trade it in and it'll show up in a search and I will get it back.

Back to the outshooting part, I put it up against a friend's SA with Novak sights. We each took turns shooting both pistols and the Norinco shot better for both of us.  I did this with a Colt Series 70 and a Taurus 1911 with the same results with each of those pistols owners. For the $250 I paid for it, it was outstanding pistol!!! I'd love to have it back!
