X1 dvr thing is all. I own the modem and use smart TV's with HD antennas in all the bedrooms.

Too much trouble for saving a few $ if it costs $98/month. I only pay $110/month for 150 channels and 300mb/s internet with comcast with the X1 system. Think that price is locked in for 3 years.

I have comcast in the living room, but went with HD antennas in the bedrooms. Didn't think I would care for them much but between amazon being built-in and the antennas, I'm happy & not spending $30/month for boxes on the secondary TVs. The HD antennas actually have a better picture than comcast too.

BPL works great, I had it through Duke Energy in Cincinnati about 15 years ago. It was $30/month for 50mb, which was faster and cheaper than anything Time Warner offered.

my MFs are left alone - in for the long haul. I'm looking to just do some short term flips.

I do have to give it to them for waiting until there is an actual issue to jack up prices though. Normally it's "there's a potential storm 6 days out from the southeast." Gas prices go up 20%.
