  1. Would consider trades on wood stocked pump or semi auto shotguns, double barrels or rifles and carbines.
  2. How about 675? Im out and about in West Knoxville and Clinton today as well
  3. Most of the time I have a D frame Colt or J frame Smith in my strong side pocket. That along with a pocket knife, mostly a Buck 110 Auto, keys, wallet, pen and a bick lighter make up my day to day. When Im not at work and can carry a bigger gun its usually a wheel gun of some flavor in an IWB holster in town, or owb if Im just around home. Im stuck several decades in the past. I own and occasionally carry polymer guns in 9 and 45, but Im a wheel gun fan mostly
  4. Bump it up. Would love to meet up tomorrow afternoon.
  5. Its a long shot, but Im looking for some square butt N frame Grips. What i would like to find is a set of the Jerry Miculek grips, without the logo. I would also be interested in similar styles without finger grooves as well as a Tyler T grip adapter. Cash in hand in East Tennessee for the right set
  6. That may be the prettiest blued gun Ive ever seen!
  7. I have been known to carry a bandana with a padlock. I carried a brake disc style lock made just for locking up a motorcycle with a bandana threaded through it in my back pocket when riding. They have a lot of weight and I damn sure wouldnt wanna be hit by one.
  8. Bump it up, I can take this in the car in the morning when I head to work and meet up in Loudon or Lenoir City at Lunch or after 5 if anyone wants to take a look
  9. I used to carry a boys axe handle in my truck. Easy sell since I cut trees on the side and usually had at least on saw in the bed. A 28" boys axe handle is one of the best clubs Ive handled
  10. This is one area that had always struck me as odd, especially when the laws changed on knives and firearms carry. You can carry any knife you want, anyway you want to, same with a gun. OC spray and taser are socially and lawfully carried most places, but a stick, the most basic of weapons, cant be carried without an arbitrary piece of paper saying you know how to use it. I wish TN would just go ahead an open it up and allow any self defense to be carried by law abiding citizens, and make the prison term so sever for commiting a crime with a weapon that criminals actively avoided the state
  11. Drove about 250 miles round trip to get this bad boy today and Im over the moon ecstatic. Thanks to @Patton for the tip on where I could find one. Ill be pairing this fighting revolver up with a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake in black alligator as my Sunday go to meeting rig. The Sourdough has the IWB straps on it, and should help make carrying a big chunk of steel much more comfortable.
  12. Sorry I thought I included it. Id meet in or around, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, Loudon, Clinton, West knox, or I make it to sevierville pretty often
  13. Bump. Ended up picking up a TRS in .45 ACP instead of .44 special. Would love to trade for $90 worth of ACP
  14. You have to take a baton class and carry a certification card from the class with you. My pops used to carry a sap with an egg shaped lead weight in it but he quit years ago
  15. I have 3 boxes of Hornady .44 magnum 240 grain xtp. I would like to trade it even for the same value of .45 ACP ammo. Target or self defense. This ammo before taxes runs about $30 a box, so lets say $90 in trade value. Meet up in the East TN area.
  16. Price dropped to $600. Looking to move my Colt Detective Special. The colt serial lookup dates it as a 1969. Carried a lot in a pocket holster, shot very little. Its a post-66 short frame, good shape, some bluing wear from carry, and a ding in the right side stock. Shoots good, and a dandy pocket gun or collectible. Moving on to different things. $600 around Knoxville, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge, etc.
  17. Sending a pm. Ill make that drive tomorrow
  18. Im looking for a Smith and Wesson N frame in .45 ACP. Preferably a steel frame 22-4 Thunder Ranch edition. Im including a picture of exactly what Im looking for, this is one that was sold here about 6 months ago, but Im insure who bought it. If it was you and youd like to sell it please let me know.
  19. Harveys over on Merchants has the 442 in stock or did. Thats where this one came from, they put it on their auction site and I picked it up for the opening bid of $650
  20. I carried a 640 in 357 and a 642 in .38 as a pocket gun for a long time and both of them had sights that sucked and the triggers really lacked as well. These new UC versions are reported to have much better triggers and sights fixing the only real complaints I ever had about a J frame. I currently carry a 2nd issue Detective Special in my pocket using a sticky holster any time my pants are on, and I think this may replace that
  21. If this has already been covered I apologize. Saw this little gem pop up at the LGS and thought it would make a dandy pocket carry piece. Its a 442 with VZ grips, big dot sights, and no lock, coming in at 16 oz unloaded. They have a 642 and 442 as well as a 6 shot .32 H&R version. For a revolver guy or a BUG setup these seem to fit the bill. Ill report back with a range report as soon as I get over there to pick it up out of layaway. https://www.guns.com/news/2024/02/06/meet-the-new-smith-wesson-ultimate-carry-j-frame-in-32-h-and-r-mag-and-38-spl
  22. Size comparison. Its a brute.
  23. Finally spent some time in the shop with my pops back when it was cold. Built an Alamo style bowie just because it was cool. Used 1084 hot rolled bar stock, 2.t" wide by 1/4" thick. Blade is almost 3" wide and a foot long. Through tang construction with brass ring and butt cap, mild steel guard that was hot punched and scrolled, then fit hot and quenched for a friction fit. Im pretty proud of this one, and still building memories with Dad at 70.
