I would also again like to think the NRA-ILA for backing this bill and staying behind it all the way.I do not always agree with the NRA on all issues even though I am a life member. I do respect their right to stand up for what they believe in as I respect the right of all US citizens to do the same. That is what the USA is about. Standing up for what you believe to be right and when the people speak then the people have spoken. I think in November the people will speak again and we again will have some CHANGE for real this time. And to my Republican friends. Get it right this time or you will be looking for a job also. We the people are fed up with business as usual. It is time for what is best for America not what is best to keep you in office.

Just read an article that Starbucks coffee stores is allowing open carry of firearms in all there stores where carry is legal and the person carrying is legal. I sent them an email and thanked them for standing up for my rights to carry as well as their right to decide on the issue. By not bowing to political and social pressure they deserve a salute. Please go to their sight and send them an email thanking them for taking that stand.

Will the Glock handle factory loaded true +P+ ammo. Also will it handle the Nato spec 9mm ammo. I know it is much hotter than the Saami standards. I am not new to auto loaders just new to Glock. Are we all so stupid that we think the goverment goes by the laws of the people. ?Get a life. It is them and you and you do not make the rules or have the power to enforce them. You are at their mercy or you are fat dumb and happy. Figure it out for yourself. Fat ,dumb and happy is easier than trying to deal with a corrupt system from both sides. Neither side is a friend of a gun owner. When you accept this it gets a lot easier.

NRA: Get you lazy ass lawyers down here and help defend this case. And yes I am a LIFE MEMBER so I can say what i want and they just have to take it. They need to be involved in every case no matter where it is at. They spend enough on postage recruiting new members to defend about all these cases. I will and always have supported the NRA but their support of us is sometimes lacking for political reasons. They choose only the fights they are sure they can win.

VC: Good luck. I have lived here for 55 years and all it has gotten is worse. I have close friends that work for the Forest Service out west and they laugh at what goes on here. Everybody out there carries in the NF. You would be an idiot not to carry.Now figure this out.I can carry in a resturant serving alcohol but in the 700,000 acre National Forest I can not. Who in the heck is in charge of this place?

I was going to write some experiences in the Cherokee NF here in this thread but have decided to let it be. I live 2 minutes from the NF and I know exactly what and will happen if you carry in the NF.As far as the actual law everybody always defers to the WMA laws. So figure it out.Will this new law solve it in the NF. Not a chance.NF will write a special order and that will be that again.It will be just like LBL

I want to thank all the politicans,lobbiest and good people here on this site for supporting all the gun legislation that passed this session. Without all the above none of it would have been possible. There is more to do but this is a good start. Seems even the govenor is getting the message. When the govenor signs this bill or lets it become law has anyone found out yet if you can carry in the Cherokee National Forest/WMA. I have yet to see if anyone knows if the Forest Service has a law that prevents carry. I do know for sure that as of rigght now, they will stop you ,search you and if they find a weapon you will get a trip to jail. As for the reason for the search it is probabal cause. Cause I wanted to stop you and see if you had anything. The Forest Service is 100 times worse than the TWRA officers. Funny how a gun and a badge makes someone a judge of who the guilty are. My rant for the day. And I have good friends who are LEO's and Conservation officers here and in other states. The everybody is a poacher mentality has to go. Believe it or not there are some people who actually try to obey the laws.

Had a conversation with a LEO from a western state and they could not believe that was even in question.Said it would be a shock to find someone not carrying in the National Forest out there. Tennessee is so worried about the 6 deer that live on the WMA's that they wantto make everybody into a poacher. Heres a tip. Poachers do not hunt the mountains they hunt where there are actually deer and turkey. The only thing that can be poached in the Cherokee is probably a meth dealer.

Now you know the problem.The Cherokee NF is a WMA. And I assure you it is not legal to have a gun in the forest. I just asked the question to see if everybody is a confused as I am. You will get arrested if you are in possession of even ammo and no gun if stopped and searched. It is a real sore subject over here. You will not find many gun owners who are very fond of the Forest Service. I wish it were different but until it gets cleared up by some real laws we will stay in a state of confusion. The problem is the National Forest being desiginated a Wildlife Management Area by the state. 2 different sets of laws and rules. so which ones apply. Ask the Forest Servoce and they will tell you one thing and a game wardwr will tell you another.Get a state park person involved and now you have 3 oponions. Someone please research and tackle this issue that is more versed on the laws than I ever hope to be.
