1.
amen to that... with that AR-10 i would check out a vortex... they make a strikefire RDS and the viper scope that are reasonable ... they are making a name for them selves...
Thanks for the info, I'll check them out. Does anyone around here stock the Magpul grip with storage compartment or have to order them?
2.
aimpoint has the long battery life... and trijicon just doesn't need them :) which is what i have
I hope to have the money for a good one soon. At least I don't have to decide "scope or ammo" since I know which one will be in stock haha
3. I'm in Smyrna and around 3:30 phone warnings woke us up and we heard the wind. My wife and I looked out the window just as something flew right in front of us and we both jumped and said What the Hell!? This morning I realized that projectile was our black trash can lid! Never found it so it may be in Oz. Several big branches down and a couple of swing sets flipped over.
4. Holy s$%?! That driver probably crapped himself if he was still inside his rig.
5. That is awesome!! Made me grin while reading it :)
6. My wife carried a Ruger SP101 .357 for a couple of years and loved it. She now carries a Ruger SR9c and loves it even more.
7.
I was at GGC the other week and my eotech did the same thing... brought extra everything, but AA's... Don't you just love that...?
Yeah, it puts a damper on the mood huh? I thought the EOTechs had the battery life of a gazillion hours or is that only certain types?
8.
That sucks! I shoved an extra set in my magpul grip just in case that happened.  No BUIS?
I want to get the Magpul grip too just for that reason. No buis since I just got it, but you can be sure that they are my next purchase.
9. Well just got back, we had a blast. That range is awesome. The ArmaLite worked flawlessly. It's owner however is a numbnut. I got it out, loaded the magazine, and got into position. I flipped on the red dot and could barely make out the dot, battery was almost dead! I was so mad....at myself. Extra batteries were on top of my safe, not in my bag. So I was still able to get 25 rounds off before the dot disappeared. All in all, it was a great time. Can't wait to go again.
10.
No.  Shoot it then clean.  Barrel break-in is for target shooter looking for that extra 1/10th moa.  You will never notice the difference. You are more likely to wear the rifling unevenly from running a cleaning rod through it excessively than from bad break-in procedures.
That's what I was thinking (that it was more for target shooters). I'm on my way and can't wait. Thanks for the reply.
11. I'm finally getting to take out my new ArmaLite to the range to fire the first round through it. I'm so excited! I've never been to the OK Corral but heard a lot of good about it. So a friend of mine and I are going tomorrow to enjoy the hills of Woodbury and some fun with friends. He is new to handguns. I took him to the Lebanon gun show about a month ago and he bought a Sig .40 so he's excited to get familiar with it. I also recently bought a Savage Axis in 30-06, so I'll be sighting it in, as well as shooting my S&W M&P15. Should be a great day!  I do have one question similar to one that I saw in another thread. With my AR10 (16" barrel) does it amount to a hill of beans how picky I am with breaking the barrel in, since it will not be a competition shooter? I planned on shooting one round, clean, then maybe a series of 10 shots, cleaning in between. Sound okay or do I need to get more specific?
12. Sorry to hear that, seems to happen a lot lately!
