I actually got a letter from some one (some police organization) this weekend asking for money and if I sent it in I would get a badge and a wallet to hold it in. I nearly died laughing at the counter in the kitchen. My wife asked what was so funny and I showed it to her. She laughed.

Yes, they can remove the deposit from your account and probably will if you don't get this resolved. You cannot prove that you actually put anything in the envelope other than a piece of paper. 1. Do they have the actual envelope that you deposited? 2. Do you have any stubs from the checks that were sent to you? 3. Go see the manager.

My daughter commented that daddy has guns and if bad people come in our house he will take care of them.

As long as you are their agent responsible for the security of the place.

Only when I worked in them. Other than that it was a bar and by the restriction of 18 and older that would be out.

That brass hitting you while you practice is to help make you more aware of your target and less aware of the person shooting next to you. I don't know. I have been to both and I keep going back to RangeUSA. That should say something.

I totally missed this. GW did a great thing there. So now I can go to Yellowstone!!!!

If he switches then there should be a revote for Speaker of the house since he was there in "good faith". -
Why some people shouldn't be police officers
saintsfanbrian replied to saintsfanbrian's topic in General Chat
Yes, it is an immediate response and one that most people are likely to take in a vehicle when some one else shows bad behavior Had this person started following me and making every single turn that I made, I would have gotten on the phone with the police and let them know that some one is following me and that I am headed for the nearest police substation. I would never let some one follow me home. You have NEVER flipped some one off when driving? I find that hard to believe. Unless you are the pope or Mother Theresa, some time in your life I would bet $100 that you flipped some one off while driving. It is a reaction. Again, probably not the best one, but it was a reaction. Would I do it again? Probably. Would I follow them to where they are going? Maybe. Would I try to get the tag number? You bet ya. I have said my say and that will be the last of it. -
Why some people shouldn't be police officers

I am going to take the "officer" at his word that he was some type of law enforcement officer. You want to trash me about it, fine. I don't care. I have thick skin. The reason I didn't just "move over" is because at this point of the interstate, the far left lane is the only lane that is going straight which is the direction that I was heading. There was another lane to my immediate right that was clear when he got up to me. There was no reason for him to tail gate and there was no reason for him to be doing 80. Anyway. I am done. I ranted, I feel better. If I see him again and he does the same thing I will follow him to wherever he is going so I can get the badge number and determine if he is real cop or not. P.S. Flipping some one off is not road rage. It is an expression of disgust at another's behavior. Following them and getting in to an altercation is road rage. -
Why some people shouldn't be police officers

Whether or not I was acting in a "mature" manner, the "officer" abused his position. He was attempting to intimidate me by showing us his badge. If he was justified then he could have pulled me over and given me a ticket. The fact that we didn't "back down" and that he sped off tells me that he knows he wasn't in the right and didn't want to force the issue because if he was an officer and had pulled me over there definitely would have been a report filed against him. I unfortunately did not get the tag number. When I attempted to speed up to get the tag number he floored it and sped away. Not wanting to risk a speeding ticket I backed off and went about my business. I am not sure if they truly were an officer or not. If he was, he should not be. Flashing a badge in that scenario was the wrong thing to do, in my opinion.+ And no, you being an officer with out any indications on your vehicle that you are responding to a call and going 80+ MPH on the interstate and endangering the lives of innocent people - we are not even. Had he simply flipped me off back - then we would be even. Flashing a badge and forcing your "authority" shows you should not be on the force. (if he even was.) -
My wife and I were driving on I-240 this morning. We were going to the local Sam's club to purchase some items in bulk. Anyway. As we were proceeding around the city a red pickup truck pulled in behind us. I was doing about 65 in a 55 zone. This idiot must have been doing 80+. He got right on my rear bump and quickly changes lanes almost taking out my bumper with me, my wife and kids in the car. Now I was actually concerned and started moving to the left to get out of the way into the emergency room. As this idiot came around me I flipped him off. Probably not one of the brightest ideas because this is Memphis but I did it and I don't feel bad. This is where the interesting thing happens. He slows down and rolls down his tinted window and shows me a badge. I did not get a great look at it but it appeared to be an M.P.D. badge. My wife rolls down her window and states, "just because you are a police officer doesn't give you the right to tailgate." The officer sped up and drove away after she stated this. Now I know, he could have been going to a call but that still doesn't excuse the behavior. I know he couldn't see that my family was in the car with me, but that still doesn't excuse the behavior. I know that I shouldn't have flipped him off, but that doesn't excuse the behavior. The behvior I am talking about is the tailgating and driving 80 at least. I tried catching up but he was gone. Don't try to excuse his behavior. There isn't one. This person obviously doesn't have the proper temperament to be an officer. If he truly had justification he could have pulled me over. In retrospect I should have asked him to pull over and actually gotten his badge number but I only imagine that would have made things worse.

how are these bailouts fair?
saintsfanbrian replied to Mike.357's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
And the government will become 80% owners of the auto industry. We will have the Peoples Wagons. (VW) and our Government will be reaping the benefits of every single vehicle sold in this country. Personally, I say let the big 3 fall. If it weren't for their unions they would be in better position to stay afloat. The companies pay on average $70 an hour for their staff including wages and benefits. I wish my company paid me that much. (I know it isn't going in their pockets. But they are paid more per hour than your average person and they can't be fired.) -
Many of the cameras such as D-link provide you with a web page access that you can get to your camera from any where in the world as long as there is an internet connection. You can store video on your PC and then use a service to upload the videos to on a regular basis. I don't have particulars but I looked in to setting up a camera when my daughter was born so I could keep an eye on her from work. I will look in to this again when the kids are tweens and teens so I can keep an eye on them from work (but for different reasons)

Well there you go, the definitive answer. Don't cater to anyone just keep putting out the same old thing. That is sure to make the profits go up. There's a reason Ford eventually introduced a different model and color car. -
Yeah, so have I. Basic is a breeze. It's like summer camp. TI's don't yell at you any more. It's only 6 weeks (Air Force) (If you don't count the weekends, holidays and any other extra day they can think of.)

Actually, I was at Bennigan's once with my daughter still in a baby carrier. My wife and I went to sit up in the bar area because it was crowded. The bartender told me I would have to get my child out there because they were under 18. I stated this was ridiculous but did so any way.

Shotgun on rack. Ammunition in locked case under the seat. Should not be a problem. Unless you live in D.C. you cannot "readily" make the gun usable in this scenario.

I will be at RangeUSA on Friday December 5th during the day. Anyone want to join me. I will be there some time after opening but before 2. I have the day off from work and the kids will be at M.D.O. and the wife will be at her office.

Actually, with all of the survival forums on the net, I would like to see this one stick to guns. I have a link at work to a new upstart for being prepared. I will post it tomorrow. -
And if congress did this and tied it to federal funding then Montana would thumb their nose just like they did with the speed limits. Fine, we have posted speed limits, how does 90 sound to you through a residential town.

Go Tom, but Ken Hamblin resolved me of my white guilt a long time ago. I have the certificate around the house somewhere.

Question about Military Hangun Certifications
saintsfanbrian replied to Kegger's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Jung, the class is still going to cost you money. Maybe not the full amount but it will cost. Remember, you are paying for knowledge.
