  1. Nah. My Tauraus pt111 g2 is the same size and holds more rounds. Would have been a duplicate gun
  2. Walther said they mixed up my order and someone else. An order of GUNS. Wtf?
  3. PPS M2 showed up. So it's going back to Walther. Now I have to wait another week. Again. Should have bought a hipoint ?
  4. PPK has shipped. Should be picking it up Thursday
  5. I have fired a PPK/S a few times. I like how it points and shoots. I also enjoy metal guns with hammers. I'm optimistic that I will enjoy the PPK/S.
  6. In the end they made it right, I will agree, HOWEVER during the whole ordeal noone seemed very helpful, motivated, or competent. The only two people that seemed to be of much help were Glenn Sieter and Casey Craig(gun repair tech).I had to more or less throw a fit to make progress at each step. In anycase I am SUPER excited for the PPK/S to arrive. That gun is for me. Now I need to find a gun for the wife again. I think we will end up with a Colt Mustang, Kimber Micro or a Sig 238. I am nervous about Sig though as Clarksville Guns and Archery showed me a catastrophically failed Sig 238 that Sig wont replace......
  7. So about 2 years ago I bought a PK380 for my wife. It was everything she liked in a gun. Hammer fired, manual safety and comfortable to operate with minimal recoil in a still useful caliber. We started experiencing bad barrel wear(common on these guns) and sent it back to Walther. It came back in worse shape. So We sent it backa few more times and just kept getting let down by the returned gun. After about 5 times returning it they finally they sent us a new gun. Unfortunately the new gun had a longer reach to the trigger and it was a VERY harsh trigger.(it hurt your finger when it finally broke, very much the opposite of the gun we initially bought) I wrote Glen Sieter at Walther customer service and expressed my EXTREME displeasure with the situation. He apologized and I now have a PPK/S on the way
  8. For $325 I wouldnt even ask my wife. Id jump in the car and drive across the state..LOL
  9. Not according to their sign. I just emailed and asked their legal basis for it.
  10. This event is on public streets and parks. Seems like it violates state preemption in addition to the sign not being the gun buster sign.
  11. As a service member who is issued  a pistol I think the realistic solution is a Glock or M&P or something similar thats already out there and proven. Failing that the M9A3 would honestly be a great option.
  12. If it were closer youd have a volunteer. Sorry I cant make it :(
  13. They way they shoot matters too. I sold the Keltec P11 I had. Maybe the recoil spring was worn out.. but it hurt to shoot standard 115gr fmj out of it. The trigger was super long and heavy too. The screws that hold the grip to the frame kept falling out even with loctite. It's also ugly. I like the look, feel, and trigger of the PPK. I'm accurate with it and it just barely fits the pocket role. It fits better than the P11 for sure. I agree there are "better" guns but I own things like 1911s, M1 Garands and others for a reason. I just like them. The DB380 is my practical choice. I want to shoot one before I pay for it though. Maybe I could like it then?
  14. The Makarovs are a bit bigger as I recall. The ppk is about as big as I dare go for this next pistol It might be worth another look though. Gotta find one first however
  15. I have a pt111 g2 that is close in size to the xds. I want one more step down for deeper concealment
  16. The sigs are small guns that shoot like my big guns.. so is the ppk. They have the same controls of guns I use on a regular basis
  17. Im still in the hunt for one of these guns.   No PPKs to be found at a realistic price.   I can get MIL/LEO discount and I cant find any 238s or 938s used at a price that beats the discount.   Id consider The Colts or Kimbers but cant find those at a price that beats the SIG prices   The Bersa is out due to the magazine disconnect.   The revolvers ARE an idea, BUT I need to go shoot some to be sure they are my thing. They also function quite differently than my carry gun and my work gun.   My work gun is a Beretta 92 and my preferred carry is a 1911.
  18. I'm looking into buying a Bersa Thunder .380 but I don't like magazine disconnects. Were they ever offered without this option?
  19. Hey my PT111 works with our trips to the shop... pick on slingshot that have rubber bands with cuts... haha
