  1. Be sure and wear gloves. It doesn't sound like anything has been cleaned and sterilized.
  2. Thanks for the info DavidD and Boomhower. Uselton definitely sounds like a douche. I went to his shop in Goodlettsville once, and I remember thinking "I'll never buy a gun here." $$$$$$$ Too bad, a good range in Franklin would be nice. That would be the closest to me.
  3. What is the story with Uselton? I have heard of a bad reputation, but never heard the specifics. I remember he had a gun store/range up in Goodlettsville, then it vanished. As I remember, it was a fairly nice indoor range.
  4. "Pulling" the bullet refers to separating the bullet from the shell casing. There have been incidents with the 325PD where, due to the recoil, some of the unfired bullets have separated from the casing while still inside the cylinder. Thus rendering the gun inoperable, until the round could be cleared. The problem seems to arise from the use of moon clips with sub-par ammo. As long as you stick to quality factory ammo, you should be okay.
  5. They seem like complete jerks to me. If they felt that strongly about it, they never should have gone into the store. Sounds like they staged the whole purchase, just so they could walk out based on the gun issue.
  6. You sure do. That is Federal Law. Just as I could not buy a handgun in Nebraska without being a resident. Edited to add: The residency requirement only applies to handguns. You can buy long guns.
  7. I agree. After reading the pamphlet, it specifically states that the prohibition does not apply to private property within the 1,000 ft zone. It further states that when leaving private property, as long as you are licensed by the state to possess a firearm, you would not be in violation of Federal Law. There are also some other exemptions. The form won't let me copy and paste, but it is on page 2 of the pamphlet, under General Information.
  8. No, that's not real. They did not even do a good job on the special effects.
  9. Congrats! It took about 2 weeks, after they charged my card, to receive the FFL.
  10. That is awesome! I made it all the way to that level, and have been stuck. I never would have thought of that solution. You almost need to be a mechanical engineer!
  11. You are perfectly fine crossing state lines with your handgun. The Firearms Owners Protection Act has a "safe passage" provision which allows you to take firearms across state lines, as long as you are following the appropriate state laws. Since you have a HCP, and each state honors the permit, you are good to go. You may be confused with traveling across state lines to sell a handgun. Interstate sales of firearms must go through a FFL in the buyer's state.
  12. This thing is addictive. I have played it before.
