I didnt realize how low I was on 45. What is the best place that wont require an arm and a leg for ammo? Same thing for 9mm too. Its been a long time and I dont know what "normal" prices are anymore.

It is time for me to get a lever action then.

Anyone know if a gunsmith can replace the sights on a lever action? To something a little more modern? Say dots or fiber optics?

Simple 5.56 pistol I build last year and yet never shot it. Just added some FDE furniture to make it a little less black, but still "I go to star bucks" basic (I dont actually, coffee isnt my thing). I replaced the A2 flash hider with a foward venting one and now Im just waiting for my red dot to come in. Now for the other one. Literally built out of spare parts and exchange money (as in, returned a 458 upper and was able to built a pistol and rifle out of the store credit). So, still a 5.56 pistol, but a little spicier. "WTF do you mean by spicier?". Well, its side charging, so it is not as vanilla. Will probably stare at it until I get bored or something.

Years ago, I got a set of custom grips from a fellow tgo'er and I been wanting to set another set ever since. Does anyone know where I can get some? I just need to have a phrase engraved on them.

I had to ship a lot of things thru the post office this summer and everything arrived in two days and at a fraction of a cost compared to ups and fed ex. The one thing I shipped by fedex was four days late. #### this pos for trying to destroy the post office.

Anyone know what the going rates are for 308 and 300 black out? Looking at getting a new upper and since 458 has been less than pleasing, 300 black out seems like a more reasonable caliber. I know prices are still crazy, so any info is appreciated.

I had no issue with the recoil and it honestly reminded me of shooting a 308. But I want something reliable. So, depending on what bca says, I may have some ammo posted soon.

And that was something I wish I had known. I dont have much time due to work and life. Sure, things break and malfunction (got to have spare parts), but I really was hopping for plug and play with this upper. I will be contacting bca about a possible swap. Might give 300 bo a try now.

Yeah, thats a negative on doing the work myself with a dremel. Might as well replace the barrel and bolt then. I just dont want to spend another $355 plus on something again and have it not work reliably.

I been wanting to build a 458 for YEARS. When I finally decided to build the damn thing, nothing but issues. I may just asked them to swap it out for a 5.56 upper. THOSE never gave me issues. Im just going to go and get an AR 10 instead. Got a bunch of left over 308 from the prt 91's and fal.

The only mags I have are the ones bear creek offered on their website. They are D&H mags. I never had a single issue out of the 5.56 mags from d&h before, but I will look into a replacement mag and see if that fixes the issue.

This is what keeps happening. Sometimes, it will cycle the next round fine, but most of the time, I hangs half way. And yes, the feed ramp looks like the picture mike posted.

Im running a carbine length gas tube. The bolt will eject the spend casing but only push the new round half way. I been using black butterfly 350 grain ammo to try out the rifle. As far as the half moon thing? No idea. The mags I got are made specifically for 458 socom.
