  1. Little update on the bolt catch situation. I have found that the ETS magazines have enough spring pressure on the floor plate to activate the bolt hold open. They work well, and look pretty neat as well. Win win. So all of my magazines for this carbine are getting switched over, and now I'm contemplating a form 1. Here's a photo of the ETS mags I snagged from the net
  2. I can appreciate the work you put into it, looks like it was very well done. Good job! Not my thing, but life would be boring if we were all the same!
  3. They had that same one back around Black Friday for $69 except it had the logo and I picked up a couple. I don't see how they do it. I would bet PSA pulls a large percentage of the AR parts market
  4. Welcome, I'm in Columbia myself and attend turkey shoots often. ^^^He's not kidding about the .40
  5. The length of the prongs doesn't designate a stubborn collar. The stubborn box is a larger, more square box than the one that comes with the kit. Such as this
  6. That's great and true, but all that is for the wrong weapon platform
  7. Did you have the stubborn collar on the husky or just the normal one that comes with the kit?
  8. This reminded me, go to your nearest equipment rental place and rent a "dog fence trencher", yes seriously. It's a trencher that you pull instead of pushing and it lays the wire and buries it all at the same time. No "going back and burying wire", nothing like that. We did very near 3 acres of our property in just a little over 3 hours. I believe it was $50 to rent the machine for the weekend, very good investment.
  9. We have the Petsafe brand unit with buried wire. Can't recommend it enough. I will say though, if you have a dog bigger than a chihuahua don't even bother with the collar box that comes with the unit. Order a "stubborn" collar for larger breeds.
  10. I do still use a couple small desiccants in each one because I'm a bit of a nut lol
  11. I use a mix of 30/50 cal surplus cans and the large plastic dry boxes from Wally World. No the plastic won't stand up to the abuse of the surplus cans. All are stored in a humidity controlled climate and the most abuse they get is going from storage, to my vehicle, to the range and back. Plastic suits me just fine.
  12. At least one for every purpose.
  13. If they charge $20 with refinishing I dare say you won't find a price cheaper anywhere. I've done my own (only 3 though) and I wouldn't do one for less than that. I've welded mine, no reason to mess with that other stuff if you can weld IMO
  14. Same here, my final piece came in today.
  15. Oh Shoot appealed to my empathetic side, so I suppressed the urge to do it on purpose. I feel as though I've grown a little today
  16. I think OS nailed it. Any AR/AK will be worth it's weight in gold eventually Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. You ain't kidding. Heck I woulda been happy with just the dry box! Never can have enough of those around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The coolest part about my TGO secret Santa is actually the way I got my present. I was selling a pistol upper to MusicMan and went to meet up to make the exchange. We meet, swap money for upper, then this happens... MusicMan: Are you doing the secret Santa this year? Me: Yep MusicMan: Me too! Here's your present! So needless to say it was a very cool way to get my gift, and meet a TGO member all in one. All my gifts were in a Academy brand dry box that I've already put to good use by filling up with ammo. Inside were 2 folding knives (one pictured, the other is in the Jeep the wife drove tonight), a sling loop plate for a 870 (again, already installed and the wife loves it), 22lr ammo, .223 ammo, and 9mm ammo, some camo gloves, and the 20 gauge shell looking Chapstick you see pictured. I mean really, could a guy ask for anything more?! My picture is kind of lacking since I've already put the 223 and the 22lr out in their respective dry boxes and the other items are installed and being put to use already [emoji6]. What a great way to start the Christmas season, I can't say I'm thankful enough. I'm waiting on a couple more things to arrive to send off my present. I have to say I like giving as much, if not more, than receiving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. I've ordered from them, actually twice in the last three weeks. First order took 4 business days to ship. Second order was placed this past weekend so we'll see. My orders were small parts FWIW, I like their ambi 60 degree selector lever. They had it on sale for $15 over the Black Friday weekend so I changed every AR I own over.
  22. For the first time in my firearms owning life I'm now considering a bullet button Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Lol yeah...pretty sure he says something about it being a midget cricket somewhere thereafter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
