  1. That looks like something off Fantastic Four! WOW.
  2. I have heard of people getting numbers by simply watching at check out lines. Since you have to put in your pin they can also get that. I also saw somewhere where folks were attaching small readers on the front of legit swipes and getting number that way. Crazy thing is you couldn't really tell the device was there unless you looked real close.
  3. It is not a personal attack if and when it is true. I would say the same about anyone who spouted other racist, ignorant, and fact-less garbage in an effort to culturally attack an entire race of people. There can be no argument with lies. An argument implies two parties trying to work towards truth by reasoning facts. gts has spouted nothing in the way of facts, thus there can be no argument. There is only truth and the pursuit thereof.
  4. Just a quick search of the least historical authoritative source Wikipedia show your error. BTW - Although I have not personally been to Israel or the Middle East proper, my family has extensive time in Iraq (Kurdistan), and Israel. I also have friends who have been in Jordan for the last 20 years. I have studied Biblical history and Israeli history in more depth than I care to comment and I can tell you that I have either wasted one degree and a masters and the last 15 years of my life or you are absolutely 100% wrong.
  5. Actually, it's spot on.
  6. No it's not. It's made up of mostly leftist who know what's best for us.
  7. gts is a fool and a liar. If you truly did study the history then you could not have come up with the conclusion you have adopted without an agenda. The Palestinian history alone dispels all your "facts". The Palestinians are neither indigenous nor native to the middle east. As of such they were refugees who came to Palestine after the Jews were taken in conquest. They were squatters living in a land no one wanted. When the Jews returned to the land no one wanted and made something out of it, then all their neighbors suddenly claimed it. Jordan, Egypt, Iran, Turkey all at one time tried to make something out of the desert wasteland and couldn't. This is why no one cared if the Jews had it. The Jews are the only ones to be able to make something out of nothing in that region. The reason there is a Palestinian problem is because none of their Arab (even thought Palestinians are not ethnically Arab) brothers will take them. In fact Lebanon and Iran refused to take them as did Saudi and Egypt. They are being used to reek havoc internally with Israel. Think of it as if Mexico sent a few million people to squat in Colorado and claim it's theirs. You need a better history lesson or at least not one out of the Third Reich.
  8. Worked 16 hrs. with a few hours of sleep in between.

    Barrel Twists

I did. I also said 1 twist per "one" inch as opposed to 1 twist per 9 in. (given 1:9). I work nights so that was early "morning" for my brain.
  10. Not if used properly. We used them in Koi ponds and ornamental ponds mostly. All of them had high dollar fish. We never lost any fish. I would say make sure you read the directions and warnings. Some of the problems people encounter with fish when they remove algae and other water plants is actually due to the loss of habitat, food, and gas (water, CO2, nitrogen, ect.) from the algae and plants they removed. It's better to start slow and work up than the other way around. It's always a god idea to test water before you add anything. Sometimes just getting the PH balance right will solve a lot of problems. It is also a lot cheaper to fix PH than other issues. Soil conditions around the pond can also greatly influence the water. That's is usually easy to treat was well with fertilizer and things of that nature.
  11. When i worked for swimming pool company we would sometimes deal with ponds. There is some good stuff that will clear it up and it's not terribly expensive. Tetra Pond works well as does Muck Pucks. It's gonna run about $50 - $120 a month or more to treat, but you should only have to treat when water temp is 55 deg or above.
  12. It's government. They spend millions of dollars studying how families work best to find out families work best. Of course they couldn't just go read history books or learn from the past. There must be an unknown better way to do things. as the scripture says, "there is nothing new under the sun." Technologies may change but human nature does not. Thing is the more government programs there are to "prevent" these things the more the problems have escalated. Just look at the black community. single mother households, abortion rates, mortality rates, poverty rates, property ownership, ect have all escalated to the negative in dramatic fashion in direct proportion to the amount of government money and programs fashioned to prevent it.
  13. Who said the media is out of touch and dead! This sums up the left and the media in two articles. Ironically the CA article was in the Tennessean's Sunday paper, but omitted from the website. What they omit is any information as to what all this money is going for except to say studying the reasons and then try to tie in the racial component. Nice!
  14. I will actually be working 16 hrs. Monday. At least it's time and a half!
  15. Then you have crappy AR's. Seldom do people who actually use it have problems. Those who don't like it for plinking are the ones who realized they paid way to much for fun shooting.
  16. centerfiresystems.com is running Wolf 55g at $200/1K shipped ATM. Can't beat that.
  17. I'd go with the Bravo Company upper. Has a few extras that most folks like, ie M4 feed ramps and HPT inspected barrel.

    Barrel Twists

    Yep.

    Barrel Twists

The numbers stand for twist per inch. In other words a 1:9 means one twist every one inch. The more twist the faster the bullet will spin. In AR's the current trend is higher twist rates to stabilize heavier bullets. A slow twist rate works better on lighter bullets. If you use a 55g in a 1:11 barrel the bullet will spin so fast that it will wobble and the bullet will actually spin apart (depending on construction. If you use a really heavy bullet say 77g in a 1:7 barrel it won't spin fast enough and will wobble and have terrible accuracy. A 1:9 or 1:8 with stabilize most common bullets and work pretty good for most all purposes.
  20. Haha, nah i'm not a real operator. Just a poor guy with an expensive hobby. Get a wife and a few kids and you'll understand;)
  21. In my quest to enjoy my toys and stay within my ever decreasing budget, I came across this. All I can say is I'm impressed for what it is. At $6.95 it is an excellent bargin. It is a little rough on some edges, but it seems to be well made. I figure on a flashlight all it's gotta do is stay put and hold tight. This does that well. Can't see paying $45-$80 for a FL mount. DealExtreme: $6.96 T2008 Aluminum Alloy Gun Barrel Laser/Flashlight Mount with Hex Wrench
  22. Here's the three I generally carry: Main knife is a Gerber Covert FAST. Just got it and LOVE it. Gerber Ripstop I. great little light weight knife. and occasionally a Kershaw Ken Onion Vapor. Two I lost and really miss were: CRKT M-16KZ Tanto I lost in a motorcycle wreck and a CRKT HUG - great little knife.
  23. OK flashlight guru's and true operators, I have a question for you. When mounting a flashlight on a rifle what kinda beam are you looking for? Is it better to have a great spot, flood, or a good mixture? I have an Ultrafire C1, which works really well, that I may use on my MSAR STG or I may go with something else depending on input. It has a really good spot and decent flood. Now I'm not going into combat or anything just for general purpose and because I can. Also, my Ultrafire has 5 modes (hi, mid, low, strobe, SOS). I feel like a single hi mode would be better, but I like the strobe feature and could really see how that could be useful. I really only use the hi and strobe anyway. BTW it's a fast strobe. Ratings on the Ultrafire are 230 lumens (realistically around 200) and takes (2) CR123 or (1) 18650 batteries. Runtime is well over 2.5 hours (18650) and around 1.5 hrs. (CR123). Any thoughts on batteries? Not my gun, but I'm gonna mount it like this.
  24. I should also add for the kid nothing is better than one of those baby sling things. You can make one yourself, but basically it's a strong piece of fabric you make into a sling. Cool thing is you can ride the kid in front, back, hip, ect. and the sling can be used in emergencies for many different things. You'd be amazed at how easy it is to carry a kid that way. I thought they were gimmicky till I saw African women tilling up fields by hand with 2 yr olds strapped to their backs!
