Wow! Evil Knievel would be proud of that jump.

Not necessarily true. There are some buisness that post non-enforcible signs to appease the sheep. They also post as a CYA in case some non permit holder is caring and he tries to cry ignorance (not that it would matter much). If it's non-enforcible carry away until it is made clear otherwise. We are expected to know and obey the law, so why not a buisness? I can't carry a handwritten HCP and say, "well you know what I mean officer".

Yeah, the first one I had the decokcker did seem rather flimsy. I'm told over on the FN forum that it is being corrected to make them more streamlined. Along the lines of the .45 USG. My only other complaint was the rather large base pad on the mags.

I will. I can say that I had one of the regular DA/SA and it was a great gun. It had by far the best DA trigger I had used and an excellent SA. That being said I just have never warmed to any DA. Cocked and locked is the only way to go.

While I couldn't be more happy with the new CZ P07, I've always said if the FNP had a manual safety it would be an ideal carry gun (for me). Well, low and behold I discover somehow that I have missed the release of the FNP-9 USG! IMHO, the two tone is one of the most attractive guns around!

The CZ P07 has a great slim grip. You might want to have her hold a Ruger SR9 as well.

Just for fun here is the Greek understanding of the word meek, as in the verse "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."

I love how folks like to quote scripture to fit their own agenda's. Those scriptures are completly out of context. Maybe you should tell her that since she likes to obey scripture she can read "and Judas hung himself," then quote, "go and do likewise." Or maybe the proverb, "A fools lips invites a beating":D Then give me her address and I will come help her become more meek and humble by taking everything she has of value. I only want to help after all.

+1. Of course you could always go the Remington, Mossy, or Benelli avenue as well.

Bullards are nice, I had a RafterS Gun leather that was very nice but customer service was abysmal. For the HP any of the respected gun makers will make you a nice one. Try Mark Garrity. A true custom guy that will do it right and how you want it. Garrity's Gunleather - Exquisite Hand-Crafted Holsters

I'm just sayin that if it got to that point you are deeply involved in time and some expense dealing with an ongoing investigation. Where as a simple I don't recall would have been the end of it. It's not that big a deal. Some won't do a deal with out it. I won't do it with it. Again, glad it worked out for you and the other guy.

I remeber my little girl dancing like that at that age. Even have some video of it. Of course she was listenening to Babies First Bible Songs. I agree with Metalhead, it is sad what some folks put in front of their kids. Sure they will see it sooner or later, but parental approval means a lot more than simple exposure.

Glad it went well for you. It doesn't protect you from anything, though. If the person is any good as a criminal, he can produce a fake ID and give you crap for information. Then when the police ask and you produce it, it could appear that YOU tried to fake a receipt or are just an idiot. Less is more in this situation IMO. Why start a crumb trail that always leads back to you. Just my thoughts as it's not required and doesn't do anything legally anyway. It does make some folks feel better and if so more power to ya.

Yeah, I got nothing either.

They are trying to be as good as an AK's!

+1. If I'm not mistaken the black finish is better becasue it has the Melonite treatment to the slide underneath. Same bombproof finish as the Glock, M&P, and others. The 2-tone doesn't have the Melonite under the plating IIRC. They are both fine and if you ever have a problem they have a lifetime warranty. I've had 3 XD9's and they were all fantastic guns. Go with the used one listed in the classifieds. It will save you a lot of depreciation money if and when you want to try something else.

Open Carry as a Civic Responsibility?
Smith replied to TNTitan's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Apples and bananas. I'm pretty sure the the uniforms, teams with sub-machine guns, movements, and announcing "POLICE! OPEN UP" already ruins the surprise. Why are the undercover guys and detectives usually concealed? It's like poker. Once you've shown 'em you're out of the game. However, if no one knows what you got you have a lot more moves. -

I actually like those Tapco forearms. They finally got something right.
-
I also have to wonder about recoil/controllability. It places your hand in the middle of the gun with the balance point directly on top of your grip hand. It would seem to create more muzzle jump than a normal gun pushing into your hand.

I was going the tinfoil route to say that ACORN may have done it themselves. It is a common socialist/commie tactic to act like the othersides extreme to distract attention gain the adversary negative attention.

Me thinks you need to watch THIS thread a little more first. Target is under 1k.

Open Carry as a Civic Responsibility?
Smith replied to TNTitan's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The difference in comparison is that side arms aren't and "never" will be wide spread. The other problem is that side arms carry a completely different weight of responsibility than any other commonly seen carry item. While I understand where you are going, I think it misses the point. Guns are not the way to encourage civic responsibility. It is just one of the many issues contained within the larger concept of civic/personal responsibility. It may actually do more of a disservice than service for a period of time. -
New AG Opinion on Carry in Parks???
Smith replied to TnEngineer's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I believe that the whole thing is screwed up and news outlets wonder why they are going bankrupt.
