    That's just funny!
  2. Haha! That's rather simplistic, but basically ....yes.
  3. BTW liberal and conservative are not parties, they are ideologies. Of those Ideologies liberalism is the only ideology that is running in Washington and that goes for both parties. Ironically, there is only a small portion of the Republicans that adhere to conservatism (even though they all platform on it) and of those they are fairly silent. The Democrats and Republicans of the modern era are two shades of liberalism. I believe we will see a viable third party in the future that will represent the American public, which over 80% of us identify as conservative. This is becasue parties used to be good indicators of ideology. This is no longer the case. As the divide between those in power and the people they represent widen, the gap is opening to allow room for a true "conservative" party. Parties still give an indicator of ideology and can be helpful, but you are correct that it can't make the choice for us. We must vote for the man not the party.
  4. I like chrome. Less maintenance and the supposed lack of accuracy is negligible - if any. Free float handguards take a few tools and more work, but handguards that use the delta ring just take elbow grease. 1:9 is the best all round in your situation.
  5. I'd go with the extra barrel IMO.
  6. I'll start: "Indian. It's not just for white men anymore!" "Like most Americans, Joe Crow High-Bird never saw it coming." "Equality means having someone else to kick around"
  7. I bet he even wears them at night
  8. No it is not. It is the same stuff as Wolf. They've changed colors, but it used to be that the blue box stuff was Barnaul and the green box stuff was Serbian. Neither are supposed to be corrosive. color of primers isn't an indicator as far as I know. I have corrosive Yugo stuff with a gold primer. Same as my non-corrosive Barnaul stuff.
  9. A Simga with a good trigger is AKA a Glock. The SIG 226 .40 I had briefly. After hearing all the Sig talk about how great they are I got one. It was big, heavy, trigger was OK, really high bore, and the capacity was low in comparison to the competition. Also, the Kel-Tec P11 for all the same reasons as the SIG minus a high bore axis. BTW - how could anyone not love an AK! I invoke WOLVERINES!
  10. I started with nsnate02 which is the first email add I had back in the day. n-first name initial, s-last name initial, nate - shortened first name (Nathan), 02 - becasue someone already had nsnate on AOL at the time. It just stuck and I started using it for all my email stuff to make it simple. I changed to Smith (last name) becasue it sounded weird to introduce myself as "nsnate02 on TGO" when I met other folks in real life. Made me feel like a cyber geek. Ironically Smith can also be interpreted as several other things and when I want my tin hat on it is less uniquely identifiably to me.
  11. I WILL make this one!
  12. I know they carry a lot of Stag and Rock River stuff. They definitley have great prices. I was going to buy a STAG 6.8 upper from them for $150 less than anywhere else a year ago, but I ended up buying it FTF to avoid the wait.
  13. as long as you don't throw your poop at people! Me and the family are members at the Nashville Zoo and it is great for families with younger kids. The exhibits are getting really good. Couldn't say that a year or so ago. The playground is a big plus (again for smaller kids). It's not a "standard" type zoo but I think they are moving in the right direction. I have always been impressed with the Memphis zoo, especially recently. It's better for older kids. Used to take youth groups there and they loved it. Haven't been to Knoxville but I've heard great things. PS: Mike, I can honestly say you definitely strike me as a person who does not go to zoo's........ or smile! BTW That avatar is by far your best!
  14. Striiiiiiiiike two!
  15. I think you missed the question? Mugster's post was excellent! The way it was explained to me was that the bolt is inherently more accurate due to simplicity. Because of the simplicity, it can be manufactured and tuned to a finer detail without as many compromises. That being said, I don't think there are many of us that can out shoot our guns yet.
  16. I've had a Hoffners HW and it is a fantastic Holster. Rides high and tight and positions the butt perfectly for concealment.
  17. Anarchy is NOT in the Constitution. However, the rule of law and order is. It is the premise of why we have a Constitution in the first place. The understanding that man can orderly and respectfully live together under an agreed set of acknowledged rights IS the Constitution. It's kinda like the folks that like to hail a Biblical commandment yet forget the purpose of that commandment. That was the very reason Jesus was killed. Legalism is a caner on society. I'm afraid we are covered in it.
  18. Mine took a little while to get here, but it was well worth it. I might add that mine got here the day after the site showed shipped.
  19. Yeah, I didn't get it the first go around either.
  20. I have a P07 and I love it. Glad you like it!
  21. Haha, that's where it gets tricky. I am primarily a Pastor (last 12 years) by calling and security, Deposition videography, and a slew of other things for extra money. My full resume looks like a road map of craziness. I held no fewer than 2 jobs (Church included) at the same time over the last 12 years and as many as 4 at one time! The one thing ministry has provided me is an opportunity to try all sorts of things as a second job. So I guess you could say I'm not transitioning as much as I am looking for something stable, good pay, and interesting for a secondary job.

    HK416 Clones

From what I've read the short stroke is the way to go. A lot of the systems have problems with the carrier binding as the force of the piston rod pushes the front of the carrier up into the receiver instead of strait back. I have also read where the ones that use the exising gas keys break due to these same forces. Just curious as to what makes the HK run so much better. Here is a nice figure form the field trials.
  23. Thanks guys. I know the differences between DCSO and PD, just curious if it is worth the time to take the job. I'm told it's near impossible to get on warrants or SWORD so this would probably be mainly CO.
  24. Congrats!
