    An AK question

Go to www.redstick-firearms.com. He can build you up a true Russian clone. Quality will be par to none.
  2. Nobody has addressed the liability issue of someone who has a keeps a documented record of a gun they once sold to you. What if you sold it to someone else and it was used illegally? What about the possibility of blackmail for a variety of reasons? What about the simple issue of registration? I am amazed that gun rights people would even think this is a noble and good idea (personal forms). It totally violates the second amendment . Is it different if it is violated by the government or a private citizen. sounds like liberals arguing on here! They argue they are just being responsible citizens. hmmmm? Now what site am I on?
  3. Or maybe like a "mentally handicapped" Billy Bob Thornton wielding a lawn mower blade muttering uhhuh... In response to "liability" issues, aren't those the same arguments for gun control? Alcohol kills more people than anything else and you don't have to have a bill of sale for that.
  4. I don't ask for bill of sales from garage sales, why would I need it for any other personal transaction of this realm? Are you guys insinuating that guns are more dangerous or criminally inclined than other items?
  5. the answer is no - you do not need to tranfer FFL. that is only in the case of interstate trades. You can even ship it to someone inside the state on a sale without a FFL.

    It's ALIVE!

Due to dehydration they must have thought they were switching to .45 gat's!
  7. Here's a good write up about it from XDTalk, http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33888&highlight=color+engravings. The other option is lacquer sticks, which work really well.
  8. Of course it's not constitutional to ban them. Neither is any other regulation of guns, but that is the "living" constitution we have allowed to guide our laws. It'll just give you a brain cramp trying to figure out why some rights apply and others don't. Plus we have so many other more important battles to fight with "gun control" right now any way.
  9. Try these. http://pistolgear.com/products.php?id=31. They actually work and they won't break the bank. I can hear pretty well normal talking, but they seriously dampen the gun blast. Use them all the time indoors and they work as advertised.
  10. Here is the 9mm or .355 bullet breakdown It has a great chart: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9mm
  11. Here is a good article about it. http://hunting.about.com/od/guns/l/aast9mmv380a.htm "SAAMI industry-standard catalog specifications for the two cartridges rate the .380 at approximately 950 fps velocity and 200 foot-pounds (ft-lbs) energy for JHP bullets in the 90- to 100-grain weight range while the 9mm (which is offered in a much wider range of bullet weights and styles) is specced at 1150 fps and 340 ft-lbs energy with a 115-grain JHP bullet and 990 fps and 320 ft-lbs energy with heavier 147-grain JHP subsonic loads. In raw energy terms alone, then, the 9mm has about a 65 percent advantage. (Standard four-inch ballistic test barrels are employed for the SAAMI ratings for both cartridges.)"
  12. Same bullet but not the same round by any stretch. Kinda like the difference between 9mm and .357 sig.
  13. Go for the P3AT. It is Kel-Tec's crowning jewel. If you need more I second the PF9. I can still carry it in a pocket, is easy to conceal, and is full power 9mm than can also handle +p loads.

    S&W Sigma series

Very heavy, ugly, and has a HORRIBLE trigger. I tried some in the store and thought maybe they just needed to be broke in. Well, met a guy at the range who was shooting one and he let me try it.....didn't get any better. Very long and very heavy. Like a bad revolver trigger. This is the gun that ruined S&W in the auto/polymer market.

    XD9 range report

+1 on XDTalk.com. Search for DGR (Don's guide rod) cost $25 @ pitolgear.com. It is a stainless steel guide rod replacement with wolf spring that replaces the captive setup. It allows you to change spring rates. Very good setup, plus it looks a whole lot better... IMO.
  16. As a fellow Pastor and "bible believing, gun totting, conservative", I say...... well done!
  17. Or you could just use 9mm +p or +p+ and get the same ballistic effects at a lower cost. course then you couldn't impress people with the .357 sig name. Seriously, I would love a .357 sig or .45, I just can't afford ammo..... I like to shoot a lot! Great review BTW. I love side by side comparisons. Great job!
  18. I use the Allen bag i got at Walmart for $20. It has a gun rug in it and all I added was a i-SHOT mag carrier from Pistolgear.com for $12. I also use the plastic ammo boxes, because they fit better in the bag. The Allen bag has all the pockets and compartments that i need to keep everything separate and organized. IMO the "Pro" range bags are grossly overpriced. Sure you get neat logos and status (mall ninja!?), but I can sew a logo on if it's that important to me.
  19. .270 for all purpose hunting round. Can do almost anything. I have 7.62x39, 5.56, and .270
  20. Here is a revolver for Rabbi and any other wheel gun guy out there. http://www.securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/0400/461.htm
  21. I would say a nice 6.8 SPC upper for my AR. A nice 1911, maybe the Taurus one (due to budget) and if money was no object a HS .338 Lapua or a Barrett .50

    Newest Toy

It works much like the A2 but also functions as a decent brake.

    Newest Toy

Here is my latest toy and first AR build. Essential Arms lower and Del-Ton 16" upper, YHM Phantom FH, knock off Aimpoint, YHM flip up BUIS, ans CAA CP buttstock. A lot of fun to build and even more fun to shoot! All I need now is a 6.8 SPC upper and I'll be done......for now.
