  1. Has anyone used this shop for ceramic coat? http://www.trushine.net/tru-shine-ceramic-coatings/ I'm thinking about the lifetime coat for the SS.
  2. When I get time, I'll re-check the links and update them.
  3. Looks good! Have you ever used one of those ceramic coatings instead of wax? Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Carpro-Cquartz-Ceramic-Quartz-Protection/dp/B005DZD1A8 Just curious if it's worth it.
  4. This thread needs more hotrods! @TGO David Let's see yours!
  5. This Catfish was running 13.3's We had a new WRX STI with COBB CAI, but he tried to launch too hard and the car shut down. I don't think he ran again. The Caddy CTSV ran a best of 6.81@104 and 10.58@130 Child seat and all It ran that quick and it weighs 4,500 lbs!
  6. This 5.0 auto (A6) with GT500 catback ran a 12.8:
  7. It ran consistent 8.5's and 13.1's btw....
  8. I figured out 2 reasons my junk ran slow. 1 is drag racing in drive with TC on slows it down a lot. 2. The Vararam intake on the car is untuned and causing issues. Even with no tune for the intake, I decided to run it again in Sport Mode and TC off. Here is the result: Left lane Car #50 With a tune and a better 60ft, I'll be in the 12's easy.
  9. My junk is officially slow.... for now. Sunday I ran the 1/8 mile. best I could muster with traction control on was 8.80@82.55. Car has a Vararam intake and Corsa catback. No tune. Data log shows the CAI is screwing with the MAF and making the car run rich. So I have work to do... They got the car # wrong, but it's the right slip.
  10. When I hit the lotto, I'll call you up and pick up that Porsche Carrera GT and the Mustang.
  11. Stock diff.... Yes, I painstakingly went through his build and read every mod he listed.
  12. Friend of mine put down 620 rwhp 559 tq in a CTSV He's in the fast Caddy...
  13. Looks like Beech Bend (1/4 mile dragstrip) is opening up March 4th. Anyone down to meet-up and cruise to the dragstrip? http://www.beechbend.com/dragschedule.htm
  14. I'm already thinking about my future hotrod. I'm a Mustang enthusiast, but I'm not brand loyal. If they trickle down some of that Shelby GT350 engine tech to the Mustang GT, I might bite. Otherwise, I'm liking the new Camaro with the LT engines. The Challengers are sick, but I just don't think they're good enough in the twisties for me. I want a more sporty car than just a straight line muscle car. Plus, they need to get that thing down to at least 3,800lbs at some point.
  15. I had this since new (Oct 96), but just got tired of it. I got rid of it a couple weeks ago. With Goodyear skaterbacks (245's), it ran (2.04 60ft) 8.7 in the 1/8 and 13.5 in the 1/4 with a aluminum block PI swap and bolt-ons. I later stuck 315's on the back and 255's up front in machined FR500 style wheels. Mods list... 16. Camaro 2SS RS just rolled over 17k miles. Vararam intake and full Corsa cat back so far for mods.
  17. I'm a trigger snob, so I'm biased. Nearly every rifle I own has an aftermarket trigger such as Geissele, ALG Defense, Tac-Con 3MR, etc. The worst mil-spec trigger I ever felt was in my Ruger SR556. The worst AK47 trigger I ever used was the factory trigger in my M92 PAP.
  18. Yikes! There is internet service still that slow? Seriously, there is nothing better out there in your area? Check AT&T, Comcast, etc.
  19. I visit states that do not have reciprocity with TN, like CA, so LEOSA will allow me to carry places my TN HCP won't. I already knew about the places we still can't carry, like Federal buildings, court rooms, etc.
  20. Is that a Noveske Pig under that rail? I really like my pig. Throws the blast away from you, the shooter. Milspec trigger?
  21. I had issues when I first got 105 Mbps (not here). Turns out the lines were a bit old, so they had to replace all the line off the pole all the way to my modem.
