  1.   Still not holding water here.... MI signs carry force of law and this means ANY sign even one scribbled in crayon...
  2.   To be honest I see far more postings here in this TN based forum about posted business than I do in the EXTREMELY large and active MI based forum and again I so rarely see an actual posted sign that I've yet to have it affect my lifestyle...

    Bersa .380

This is prolly one of the biggest issues in the 380 is that most everyone has a simple blow back slide (IE non locking) and even slight limp wristing can cause issues. You must shoot these guns namely the Bersa with a locked wrist or the recoil is lost in your wrist movement and they don't cycle properly.
  4.   Yes... Even with pin holding tools that pin is a SOB. I've put 3 together so far and only the 2nd one was easier and the 3rd one sucked balls....
  5.   Now is that a trick that they actually get away with or is it just lore? MI has OC without permit and the closest to trouble that folks run into with concealed vs not concealed is come winter time when the coats come out as the gun must remain outside of the coat. There have been updates to MI LEO on this for at least the last 4 years and if the cops tried that BS here they find themselves on the wrong end of the attention ...
  6. When you have to ask or be granted permission it is no longer a right.,.
  7. Allow me to set a mini stage for you here...   First off MI  along with 6 other states has a gun registration system which I dislike as it allows the government to know exactly what I own; knowledge equals power and the government is already far too powerful and imposing on our lives.   But this registration process in MI is fairly simple and as long as your "legal" to own and over the age of 18 you can openly carry in select area without any training whatsoever to which once over 21 you can get a CPL and this affords you the ability to conceal in select area and then openly carry in some areas where you can't conceal. Now this extra is not afforded to those who don't have a CPL so there is a privilege given to those who willingly seek the extra training and background check. And ultimately there is nothing wrong with that but I digress.   OK so now MI could have hoards of 18 year old know nothings walking the streets with sidearm of choice openly displayed and unless they are doing something obviously wrong the law can't even so much as legally demand to see their ID... Remember we are innocent until proven guilty… Do you think that we have madness in the streets? Nope not at all and for the most part very few even bother to open carry and if done in a reasonable and respectful manor hardly anyone even notices.   Now let’s travel to a select few other states (AR, AK, VT) that follow Constitutional Carry in that they have no registration system, allow open carry as well as conceal carry without permit do these states have blood running in the gutters due to their lack of imposing gun laws? No they do not! Is there something intellectually different about these people? Are they simply more intelligent than the people of TN please tell me no as otherwise I may have made a mistake in my choice of moving here?   It's all in what you’re exposed to, this is what you become accustomed to. I grew up in LA where there was no registration, open carry was legal and your car was considered an extension of your home. Thus I was appalled at what I considered to be such imposing gun laws when I moved to MI yet the MI residents said oh it's not that bad as that's what they were accustomed to.   Folks please to not balk at relaxing your gun laws as I promise you that you will not like it when they further tighten the reins...
  8.   My bad... I see now that I miss read your words....
  9.   On another forum I play in we use a different color font to show sarcasm....

    AK question

Just learned how to post pictures so here is a late picture entry of my PAP M-70 all blacked out in truck bed-liner and Hogue grips; I'll be trimming the length of the optics riser so that I can drop a rear peep sight on for open sight use.
  11. Ok I'm getting there.....
  12.   Not that I missed "that part" I just find myself a little passionate of my views.... Product of my 30 year near military carrier choice I suppose...
  13.   Now I will go so far as to say that I really think people who want to carry should actively seek out instruction and/or put in frequent range time to become of their own accord more proficient....
  14.   I can't and don't agree at all... As American citizens we should not have to beg for permission to exercise what was a given right the right to self defnece... Secondly I don't assume that any state required course is training at all; it is a hoop that that the state makes you jump through in order to exercise your rights! And the problem is not the GP it is that the Criminal Element does not abide by the law in the first place and prays on the GP....
  15. Looking for a link or info on posting pictures? Nope I've never used an outside source for posting pics...
  16.   Yes baby steps have been made when I first moved to MI in 97 you could hardly mention the word handgun without being locked up (LOL) to today where MI is Open Carry and now a Shall Issue state as compared to previous May Issue... If they would simply do away with the silly handgun registration and the laboriously convoluted laws that surround it would be so much better it is in the works but going very slowly...

    Bersa .380

Yes they make an all matte black BT380 in either single stack or the double stack BT380 Plus it is no bigger in length or height and only a touch thicker and only the extra ammo adds to its empty weight of 20 oz. Mags for the single stack can generally be found while the Plus mags can be tough to find. Stick with the Bersa branded mags as the Pro Mags are sh!t in these guns. You can buy mags from Bersa/Eagle Imports, as well as Condor Flight and places like Midway USA or Brownell's.   I've owned the .380 and enjoyed it and still own the .22 Thunder in satin nickel for my wife...
  18.     One can but they have a handgun registration system and SBR "just" became legal....
  19.   Nope look at the states that do have open carry not a bloodbath to be found... Look at the states with no permit required for CC being AR, AK & VT no bloodbaths there either... One of the reasons I'm are moving to TN is that it has more sensible gun laws than MI...
  20.   Better yet what are your opinions? As it sounds to me (and forgive me if I'm mistaken) that not only are you against open carry and you think that a person should be required to get a permit before they can carry concealed?     Myself while I open carry rarely I've little to no problem with open carry in all most any situation.  As to requiring a permit to CC well let's just say I love AZ, AK & VT for having the forethought to NOT require a permit to CC or openly carry.....
  21.   That would be me your passing as when we go on vacation I'm the driver so I've got to watch the road and it makes it hard to look at the sights; so I'm always watching the mirror and pulling over to let folks pass. I want to see the sights while I drive so I drive a little slow...
  22.   In the bike world we say "Ride Your Own Ride" last rally I went to I saw it happen to gent on a near to new ZG1400 Concours he tried keeping with the group that knew the road and their bikes; broken shoulder and broken bike...
  23.   That one sentence is what has kept me from the Dragon on numerous trips to NC.... I've no desire to wait in line with my ticket at an amusement park or hassle with traffic that for the most part can't drive worth a crap on good roads much less a road that demands skill behind the wheel... Enjoy the Skyway, tooled away on the BRP and many other roads... One day I'll go do the Dragon but it's not on the bucket list...
