  1.   Little bit more to it than that but your real close...   Light Petroleum Distillates Aliphatic Alcohols Glycol Ether Other Proprietary Ingredients
  2. Kroil is the oil that creeps..... It's a penatrating oil....   It's also the bee's knees for busting rust off of your parts... Toss rusted parts in a container with Kroil and forget about it for a few days; rust be gone...
  3. Planning on moving to TN in the very near future with location still to be determined but thinking outside Nashville and/or Knoxville are highest on our list so I just might be interested. We are planning a trip to house hunt rentals next month between the dates of the 16th to the 22nd; and do plan to put money down if we find the right house/neighborhood/town. You are most welcome to PM or email me at teecro @ sbcglobal . net (remove spaces) with info or pictures.
  4. Can anyone shed some light and info on a town called Vonore Tn?
  5. Thanks Oh Shoot that's what I expected. Didn't think there was much difference in the laws here in Mi and Tn....
  6. VFG not allowed on a pistol correct? My ARP came out at 23" long without the SIG brace I've got coming. I'd like to add a VFG over an AFG if I could.
  7. Absolutely no reason to pay anywhere near .40 for around of 5.56 brass case.... Use wikiarms and you will find there is no need to even look at CTD or Walmart ever again....
  8. Thanks for the continued flow of info and tid bits of where y'all live it is all being digested and we still plan on a visit next month...
  9. You can always buy a spray can of the stuff too, gives a very nice uniform finish.
  10. Painted the wood on my AK with truck bed liner, really like the flat pebble grained finish makes it look very stealthy. Building my 23" AR pistol in all black, but I really like my FDE and ODG AR's...
  11. I used the TWS on mine with their peep sight, plus a see through riser for my 40 mm red dot to sit on top of....
  12. I would avoid the Air-Soft version of Magpul products as they are lighter in weight and may not be durable enough for rough real life usage. Beyond that Magpul makes very good products that are NOT just plastic they are made of a reinforced ultra strong plastic that are well thought out. I've built one FDE carbine and one ODG rifle with Hogue grips which their colors match very nicely.

    Tail gating.

Sometimes they might just be hoping to provoke a response. Curious as to the car, tint, exhaust something that might attract a LEO attention?

    Tail gating.

I'd fair a guess that if it can be proved that you willfully brake checked and caused an accident that you would end up with reckless endangerment dangling over your head...   As commented in another thread 30 plus years of driving in many states I've rarely ever received attention from LEO that I did not some how ask for...
  15. Considering that the bulk of this discussion is about rim-fire ammo has anyone else heard/read about one of the reasons is a shortage of one of the ingredients needed to make the primer itself? I seem to recall it was some sort of mercury _____ _____ chemical that is only used in the rim-fire primer not center-fire primers. This would at least HELP explain why other ammo has nearly returned to normal but .22LR is still hard to find....

    Carry question

Permitting systems do absolutely nothing to make the public safe.... Criminals do not abide by the law....

    Carry question

While you are entitled to your opinion I absolutely hate opinions such as this as all this amounts to is brain washing people into believing that we need permission from the government to protect ourselves from the evil found in the streets. While there are only 3 states that allow concealed carry without permit AK, AR, & VT to me those are the 3 states that do not encroach into our 2nd amendment rights.... Beliefs such as this amount to agreeing with gun control.....

    Carry question

Pulled over for what? Ignored his papers for what? Charged for what? Probation for what? Too much missing from this story.... While I'm not in TN yet I've traveled and worked in a lot of states over the last 30 plus years and rarely has the popo ever given me grief that I had not asked for....
  19.   Same here except that I never really shopped Walmart for ammo in the first place. My time is far to valuable to waste it running around from store to store hoping to find what amounts to table scraps for ammo; I search the internet for good deals on ammo and when I find it I buy as much as I can reasonably afford to buy no matter if I need it or not. While I don't consider myself a "hoarder" I've generally got 1K to 4K of .22LR, 9MM, 44ACP, 5.56 & 7.62 on hand at any time; I've not suffered through this ammo shortage by any means and neither has my close family members either....   If the guy in the picture labeled as the hoarder only has 4K squirreled away then he is not doing a very good job of it... LOL
  20.   You are correct in that the Captain on these large ships are like the "Company Man" on board a drilling rig and they are pressured by the owners to save fuel at all cost. Cutting corners and or mileage by running close to shore may save quite a bit in fuel.... But nevertheless Tom Hanks is a really good actor and I'll watch the show when I get the chance.
  21.   This is a given in any state as transfers are at a federal level. Your options would be to ship it to an FFL willing to receive from a private individual, have a local FFL ship it to the out of state FFL,  or bring it to an FFL across the border.
  22. Just a little pimple faced punk who will soon enough (I hope) run out of his 15 minutes of fame.....
  23.   I can't say that stickers sway people one way or the other but I prefer the "hide in plain site" mode by having our SUV look just like every other Soccer Mom's SUV in the lot....
