I saw a guy on the Tundra forum pay $30,000 for a used Tundra and then needed an engine replacement not long after for $10,000.
A friend had a used Lexus he paid around $8,000 for and his engine blew while on a road trip.
Anytime you have to fork out thousands of dollars on a vehicle it sucks. People who hate EV's are using that story(which was mentioned above your comment) to validate their existing opinions.
The premise of the EV was to save money. That is a total lie. That was just one example, so let's look at more.
Another problem is paying $5,000 to $7,000 for a plug to be installed at your home. Cap that with the fact that their short range means you have to workout the logistics behind more than a couple hours of drive time. If the vehicle doesn't have sufficient travel distance then you have to stay somewhere for 10 hours while your vehicle recharges. So I couldn't take a day trip to Kansas City because the vehicle doesn't have sufficient range. I'd have to stay at a hotel that actually has available charging stations. Even if they had 600 mile range to get me to KC, I'd still have to install a charging station at my mother-in-law's house at another $5,000 to $7,000.

I'm not in any hurry to buy an electric vehicle but some of the comments and hate expressed for them seems excessive. Do some of you work for oil and gas companies? Otherwise I can't see why the hatred is so extreme. Change is inevitable.
Not that I hate them but their obvious lying about its advantages only to find that there are no advantages. Just heard on WTN 99.7 them telling of an instance where parent's bought a used E-vehicle for $14,000. A couple of months later it needed it's batteries replace. They wanted $14,000 for the batteries. That would piss me off.

Makes you wonder why they don't take the HCP. Heck, you had to get fingerprinted and background checked to get it.

@btq96r You might call up Opry Mills and see if Dell still has a booth there. Then call the booth (if it has a phone) if you can to see what they have before driving there. Dell has some pretty cool curved monitors they've had on display in their building, but that doesn't help you since you can't get in their without an escort.

I can't believe no one is discussing this yet. I know nothing about this dude, What are your thoughts on him?

I went through this exercise not too long ago. I ended up making my own kit that contained what I wanted it to contain. I worked on the premise of, if my wife was badly injured, what would I need to save her life if I was present. I put a bag with the same contents in both our truck and car. If you were to go a similar route, I recommend that you get all the items that you want to have on hand and THEN get the bag big enough to contain them. I went from way too small to too small, and then settled on one that's a little tight but carries everything. I certainly spent more than the prefilled bags but at least I don't have superfluous items in the bag. I actually had a thread on this. You might get some use out of reading it.

I'll take this off the streets, (where I get angered by other driver's stupidity), and into the grocery stores:
1. People who don't understand to keep in their "lane" while they are coming at you with their cart.
2. The grocery store's order fillers and stocking clerks who park their damned carts right in the middle of the aisle.
3. People that navigate the store and are oblivious to the fact that other people are trying navigate the store also.

People who run the speed limit or slower in the left lane. Some of us are trying to use the hammer lane to actually pass, not cruise. And semi trucks that run side trying to pass another truck for miles on end.
Alabama drivers are the absolute worst at doing this. I frequently silently wish that I had a couple of M2's in the front of my vehicle to nail them for it!

My understanding is that the only abortions allowed now in TN are for medical reasons such as a ectopic pregnancy. There are no exceptions for rape or incest which are main sticking points for a lot of people.
I firmly believe that forcing a woman to carry a child conceived by rape or incest is cruel and unusual punishment for something they didn't want. I also believe that if a woman is going for that exception then they must file a complaint against the man. That way they can't simply claim something to get an abortion.

I haven’t researched it and don’t really feel like it, but what are the current rules/laws for abortion in TN? I’ve always been surprised either side blows so much political capital on the issue. To me, why someone gets an abortion is not nearly as important as when they do. Have an abortion at six weeks and remove a glob of cells that only a biologist would recognize as possibly being human? Carry on. Have an abortion at seven months? Go to prison for murder. Does TN have a time limit?
I would not refer to this as just a clump of cells.

TheLulz was already banned when you called for his banning, and "Looks like someone took the slow train from Philly" was a quote from The Office, although after posting the quote I remembered Angela didn't mean it the way it sounds (hint: it isn't inferring lack of intelligence/whit).
It was a bad joke that I screwed up.
I looked for the banned banner and there was none, and there still isn't:

Us too in Lascassas. It was badly needed for sure. The trees we have been watering, but the grass we have not. I think the grass is happy now if it hasn't died.

I don't relish most people's passing, but seriously? This guy was a one-dimensional actor from the movies that I saw. However, even his tough-guy persona was just...weak.

Sad times we're living in nowadays. I'm only 56 and never thought such things like this would happen in my lifetime, seem's to occur once or twice a week. The systems in place do nothing but hurt the law abiding gun owners we seem to pay the most for these idiots crime.
The Texas Tower Sniper was in 1966. https://www.britannica.com/event/Texas-Tower-shooting-of-1966
EDIT: You weren't old enough to remember it, but these things, or things like them, have occurred for a lot longer than you've been on this earth.

I'ma pop smoke here if you allow the left to troll your forum.
I have literally no time for those clowns.
It seems that he's already decided to leave the forum, and I think his wish should be granted: ban his ass.

That is going to put us into territory we're not allowed to discuss but this is very debatable. I used to believe it.
Yeah, I should have distinguished between Republicans and conservatives. They are not necessarily the same.

It may be in the works, SCOTUS seems to be signaling such cases may be looked at now.
Supreme Court says several gun cases deserve a new look (yahoo.com)
They are signally bringing cases before them; not automatically reviewing them. I particularly think that regulating authorities were automatically reviewed. If congress is too lazy to manage making laws then the SC should be reviewing the changes automatically and be a check on the executive branch who change the regulations without changes in law.

That is where you and I differ, first we shouldn't have to SBR anything, as it is no more lethal than a rifle, maybe even less so. But I would say that someone who puts a brace on a pistol has done just about as much work as someone who goes the SBR route. They both understand the law, both want to stay legal, and both have, probably, passed a few background checks. It's just that the brace guy didn't feel like the government is due $200 and all those weeks or months of waiting to legally own a weapon which the constitution clearly says he should be able to own.
Which makes me wonder why there hasn't been a challenge to it now that the SC is right-leaning. I kind of wish that laws/regulations concerning the Bill of Rights was automatically reviewed by the SC. A lot of this bull would end.
