This is what, the 4th thread on this?

I say get what you can afford that is reliable. That being said, I'd rather have a Bryco/Jiminez/Hi-point when I needed it than nothing. Even if it jammed after a few rounds I could retreat or throw it at them. I love Ed Brown. he doesn't love my budget I also like Harley Davidson, 50 year old wines...

I just have this image of Lucky with a 1911 in a shoulder rig drawing it out and putting a round between the antlers, then smoking a cigarette lol

Sig ticks me off to no end with that crap on their guns. Best thing you can do is just wipe and wipe and wipe till they are dry.

Perfectly fine.

Good deal! -
I can live with that. You know me well enough from my posts that I am VERY pro-cop. Somethings still just don't sit right with me sometimes. I guess I'm just a little to John Wayne.
-
What if that cop's JOB is to disarm you and strip you of your liberties? I doubt anyone on this board would EVER condone dropping the hammer on anyone in a LE role of any sort, but just because you swear an oath and have a badge doesn't mean you are exempt or free to do whatever the hell you want. People that trust to much in the government ultimately deserve everything they get from said government.

Those are some nice kits...

Hence the term "Israeli draw." They can do it quick, I can say this from shooting side-by-side with an Israeli commando... not fast enough on a quick draw contest.
-
It's yours so I say do what you want. Decent paint job. Did you do it just to do it or for hunting? I'm a basic black kinda guy myself...

I don't really take sides on it, but I do think it was a poor choice to use THAT controversial of a figure as a spokesman for your sniper rifles. I mean the guy obviously wasn't worried about what was behind his target (gun rules anyone?) and that resulted in a woman being shot in the face holding her daughter and not a weapon. That bothers me on some level.

Some people do move around for different reasons. I had a former Marine and a former Navy guy in my platoon in BCT. Who knows maybe he was more able to do what he wanted in the Army than in the Marines. Maybe he just did his contract for the Marines and decided to try the Army out. Never can tell.
-
My advice? Slap a 6 round side saddle on it and maybe a sling and you'd be good.

I'd be willing to bet a bit of both. They don't care, it's not the movies where testimony sways people's minds. Now believe me, if this happened to one of them, as you said, there would have been hell to pay. -
female mugged hillsboro village

This would fall under a "furtive movement" shooting. The suspect claims they have a gun and are making physical actions that they posess a gun and/or make a motion as to draw a weapon. A young female, at night, alone, a person comes up and demands money, then threatens to kill her. I'd say you'd probably make a good case for a justified shooting. -
I've advocated something like this since I got my permit. I think a training class is a necessity. I've just seen to many people that can't shoot, don't know the law, and will probably shoot me accidentally before they ever hit a bad guy. I think it is our right to KEEP and BEAR arms, but I also think mandatory training should be a must. Honestly, I think if you don't have some type of training you are going to open the gun carrying community up to more people that would give us bad press from either bad shoots or carrying illegally just out of ignorance of the law.

Those are nice looking shotguns. Good buy!

.357 Sig DANGER Homeland Security Round!
Punisher84 replied to creeky's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That is hilarious. It's also the reason my wife won't go to the gun counter anymore at Sportsman's Warehouse. They know me, know where I work, and such so I figured they would assume my wife would know what she was talking about (I'm standing behind her), not so apparently. Allow me to give you their exchange: Wife: Can I see this Springfield right here? Guy: Yes mam. Wife: (looks at me) I like this one. Guy: Getting that for you? *looks shocked* Wife: Uh yea, thinking about it. Why? Guy: That's not really a woman's gun. Wouldn't you rather have a .38? Wife: *flames shooting out her ears* No I prefer the 1911 because of the slender grip, the slender frame so I can carry it, the .45 acp round ballistics, and I can punch out the center of a silhouette at about 30 feet with it. Now is there someone else who can sell me this gun? After I was helped up off the ground from a fit of laughter we purchased the gun and left. Moral of the story... gun toting wives should not be trifled with. -
I can name several as well as several "renowned" training academies. Don't believe me call around and ask. If you think joining the military makes you special you're right. It entitles you to put on the uniform of the greatest country in the world and defend it from all enemies foreign and domestic. I got plenty of friends that died before they ever got to drink their first beer in a bar with me. You want special privileges quit whining on a forum and write your congressman. Maybe they'll help a brotha out. I will concede that handgun permit requirements are a joke, but at least there are minimum requirements. If you want to make special circumstances for the troops I'll back it 100%, but if you think just because you VOLUNTARILY enlist you are entitled to some type of special treatment, you did it for the wrong damn reasons.
