  1. That is the 4th convention. And yes it seems pretty specific and depending on what year it was and what convention we were adhering too and what struggles we were in at the time the policy of what could be done has always changed weather or not in the opinion of some would call it a violation. That is just a fact. And while as a nation we of course agree with these principles we have never fully complied with them at all times. Nor should we. And if you believe we have I have a bridge I would like to sell you. Moreover, this does not apply to these vermon. They are not under the convention.
  2. Title 18 is for crime and criminal proceedings in the US and has nothing to do with what we are talking about. The only legal course enemy combatants are subject to is a military tribunal.
  3. But again the criminal in the US is protected by the constitution and the terrorist is not. Again not valid. Well, the punishment for treason is still up to and including death and I'm not sure how many more rights you can loose when you are dead.
  4. +1 Also, the Geneva Convention is very vague as to what is actually torture. Historically, the US opinion of what is and is not torture has varied greatly all the while adhering to the rules set by the Geneva Convention.
  5. Again, the constitution does not apply to these people. They are enemy combatants.
  6. First we are not talking about a confession. We are talking about doing what is necessary to save many lives. So your LE analogy is not valid. They are not citizen of the US and are not afforded the protection of the constitution. Furthermore, if they were US citizens you wave you right when you commit treason.
  7. So, I'm wondering how a person who believes in self defense and maybe has a carry permit and would be willing to use deadly force to protect his or herself or maybe others has a problem with water boarding? On one hand you are perfectly willing to kill someone to save your own life but are utterly opposed to putting someone in discomfort to save tens of thousands. I believe if you are charged with the protection of the US and her people you should be willing to do the same things you would do in order to protect yourself, your children, and your family. If not you should get another job.
  8. My first carry permit was in the state of FL in 89, and in FL it has always been legal to carry where alcohol is served. Nothing ever happened the way the left said it would. No weirdness ever happened. Then I moved to PA and had a permit there and same thing no weirdness, and we all carried where liquor was being served when going out to eat. It is just not a big deal. 40 other states have this law and the good people of TN will be just as responsible and can be trusted just as much as other folks from other states.
  9. The evidence does not support their claim. This has not happened to the 35+ states that currently have this law in place. They are just grasping at straws to support their position.
  10. STI makes a 9mm in about everything they make.

    Custom 1911?

Yep. On the other hand you can never have too many 1911/2011s built to perfection. And their are very, very few who can build them like that. Worth every penny.

    Custom 1911?

Also, will a person be allowed to check out the guns??? It always cracks me up when folks have custom 1911s that they are selling but no one is allowed to check out the slide fit and trigger work their smith has done. They have asked me "are you going to buy it?" Well, how the hell can I answer that when I don't know if his work is deserving of the price. They are not made of glass, and if someone can hurt the gun by handling it, it isn't worth the price of the parts at dealer cost.

    Custom 1911?

It's Jeff Walle at Guns and Leather. He can build whatever you want from a full blown open comp gun to a regular 1911 carry. Great guy, I have known him for many years and he will make you happy.
  15. No big deal. Bump your powder down a tenth or two if you are near max. When I can't find regular small pistol I use magnums and bump them down a tenth it will usually give me the same average FPS.
  16. The problem with this statement is that you are assuming that glocks are all the same. But, they are a manufactured gun and are not the same particularly when it comes to accuracy. I have seen some in a ransom rest shoot nothing under 8 inches at 25 yards with 3 different loads and when I put my 23 in there it printed under 3 inches with all three loads. So it may not be the shooters skill level. Same with an XD I had. I ended up sending it back to be re-barelled and now it shoots pretty well. Acceptable anyway.
  17. Where is the NRA on this???? I have not gotten a single ILA alert!
  18. I have only answered names and ages for every census I have taken. One of our neighbors was the census taker that came in and took the info from me. She asked me why I would only answer those questions, and I said it is none of the governments business how much money I make, what color I am, what religion I am or what color underwear I prefer.
  19. Be carful to only bend the one on the right because the others on the left and middle adjust your sear and reset pressure.
  20. You have to bend the sear spring leaf that pushes on the grip safety. When looking at the sear spring in the gun it is the one on the right.
  21. Here is a link that has a ton of photos of different set ups. May give you some ideas. Brian Enos's Forums... Maku mozo! -> The Gallery I went with two pieces of 3/4 pylwood glued and screwed together for the top and then 2x4 construction and then tapconned into the floor. FWIW
