  1. I have been trying to do my online application for a week now, the page is down for maintenance. Am I the only one having this problem? Any word on how long it will be down?
  2. Huey's in Germantown

There is no sign at the Millington location
  3. Wild Quail in Middle Tennessee?

The upland bird hunting is the one thing I miss about the CA valley, dove galore, Pheasant, quail, Chucker, and even Ptarmigan. Man, I miss bird hunting. Dove is coming, but I have yet to find a place to shoot them. Out west there are millions of acres of public BLM land and most private land is not posted for birds, as the farmers welcome us getting rid of them. So much open land here, and so many grumpy owners post or want crazy lease fees. I come here for freedom, but cant hunt unless I am a millionaire...
  4. Dove hunting

I need to find one of these types out here in Tipton County.  I have been Dove hunting in the CA desert since I was 12,  but it seems that there is about 5 % of the public lands out here.  But it sure is better than CA anyday.
  5. tipton/shelby dove hunt

Dennis, thanks, I was looking at the map just now,  I have all the licenses.  Not near as much public land here as there is out west.  But I am allowed my freedoms, and there is water, so I think I may never leave....
  6. tipton/shelby dove hunt

Millington is where the home of Chief of Naval Personnel is at now.  I manage the training pipelines for all aviation A and C schools.
  7. That is great.  I urge all poachers to do the same.
  8. 44 Mag Loads for Desert Eagle

I can attest to CALGUNS.  Was one of the first 200 members, and had bullet button #40.  So glad I got paroled to TN.    Lots of great, smart people there.  In fact most don't realize the role that CALGUNS played in the DC and Chicago SCOTUS cases...     That being said I use no load data from the web unless it is off the manufacturers page.  To many know nothing know it all's
  9. I don't know if I as a lowly Lee user am cool enough to read a Dillon post let alone reply to one....     but my Lee auto disk does Varget pretty good.
  10. tipton/shelby dove hunt

Depends on the license cost for Mississippi.  Thanks for looking out.
  11. BASS PRO MEMPHIS

All Bass Pros are great for browsing.  Occasionaly the clothes will go on sale for a good price.  However for the most part the place has a price premium...
  12. So  am new to the area, just transferred in on Navy orders and am trying to find a spot to go shoot some dove this year.  I am quickly finding that public land here is few and far between compared to out west.    Are there any public lands in the Atoka/Munford area, or anyone with private land willing to take a Sailor and his 16 year old son on?
  13. As an active duty service member, I and a permit holder, I would love this.  Not that I really feel the need to carry at work, but it would be nice ot be able to carry when I stop for groceries or gas or whatever...  But if left to the CO of the base I am doubtful it will happen.
  14. First time trying AR Comp

That is a Ramshot right?  The USNMT uses ramshot TAC behind 77g SMK to replicate issued MK 262 match ammo.  Ramshot is a very underestimated powder.
