  1. oh yeah, forgot, my wife uses the versa-pak as her purse. So it's not just guys using them
  2. I have the Jumbo Fatboy along with one of the laptop cases and several other "accessory" type items. I haven't had a problem with any of them.
  3. I have a U.S. Survival rifle as well. I like, it's a great shooter. However, I bought it used and it didn't work so well. I called up Henry Repeating Arms and explained the problem to them. They sent me a UPS label to return the gun, they worked on it, and returned it 3 wks later. I works perfectly now. I have shot about 150 rounds through it with 0 malfunctions. Is it a tack driver? No (not that I'm that great of a shot either), but it will get the job done. Like you, mine went into my "go bag". I have shot CCI Mini-Mags and Remington Bulk ammo through it with no problems. Just remember to avoid the "hyper-velocity" ammo (the user manual says not to use it and I think that's what the previous owner used in it and why it stopped working). I'd post pictures of mine, but I haven't taken any yet.
  4. That's what 2 car garages and heaters are for
  5. OK, might be time to take it to a shop and have the tires checked for alignment. Did you notice any unusual wear in the tires that you just replaced? Spark plugs and spark plug wires would me next to check I'm not a mechanic, I just tinker with my own vehicles
  6. What are her driving habits like? Until recently I could get better mileage out of either vehicle than my wife. She started to change her driving habits and now she gets better mileage than I. Slow starts, ease off the gas before hitting the break. Lots of little things that can effect the gas mileage. With the Windstar that I drive I can get about 20mpg city driving.
  7. When did you get your TN HCP? That would have a bearing on whether your instructor was wrong or not. Since TN "castle" law just went into effect within the last year, if you had taken your HCP class prior to that, what your instructor said was true. I may be wrong, and will be corrected shortly if I am
  8. Great movie, I loved it!!
  9. There should a good story to go with this!
  10. So, uh, anybody wanna trade for this 30-06? http://www.golsn.com/listings/outdoor_adventure/firearms/rifles-shotguns/639590.html Remington 710 in 30/06 with scope, ready to go... Good shooter, dialed in and ready. Will meet in the Columbia area for FTF .... E-mail with any questions. Will trade on AK / SKS rifles, Ammo, Gold, breast milk Etc.
  11. I'm no physics expert but in order to break your door in, or break your window, they would have to "break the plane" as mentioned earlier, so they have already "entered". I know that's splitting hairs. The way I have heard it explained if even a finger tip of the person has gone past the door/window frame they have entered your house or car. I may be wrong, I'm not a lawyer, I'm not even a THCC instructor, I just didn't fall asleep in class
  12. I've been watching the EE as well. Missed out on 2 "deals" already, oh well. If I get one before the Del-Ton order ships it will be canceled, otherwise I guess I'll be getting a nice birthday present (note my b-day is in March ) Hopefully I'll be having another stripped lower coming in soon, if so, I'll be on the lookout for 2 uppers. Yeah, I'm not asking for much am I?
  13. poak, any updates? Just curious as my order says "Processing" but then has this note: Which I placed the order just 2wks ago, so I know it is not shipped yet.
  14. Y'all read way too much into it
  15. Well, since I have mostly Glocks, that rules out .40S&W I've got a .44mag rifle coming in, that would prolly be the first thing I cast for. But I may not be able to start until the spring time. The other calibers I have are: .38S&W 9mm .30-30 .25-20
  16. I think we've all had days like that!!
  17. Don't cast, yet. It's on my list of things I want to learn to do though.
  18. Wheat berries are ground into either flower or "flaked" for cereal. I have a grain mill with 2 attachments - 1) grinder for making flower, 2) flaker for making cereal. I've been getting my from www.beprepared.com My next order will be for some of their superpails and I will be getting red wheat, white wheat, beans, legumes, popcorn and a couple of others. One thing that I did notice is that when using fresh ground flour the taste is SO much better
  19. I have one. When I got it, it did not work. The casings were ejected to the left - into the receiver!!! I called Henry Repeating Arms and they sent me a UPS label to send it back to them. 3wks later I got it back. I have shot almost 200 rounds, all without a problem. I shot a mix of CCI mini-mags and Remington bulk ammo. I really like mine.
  20. The rule in our house - Store what we eat, eat what we store. On that note many canned food items (beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, various meat items (tuna, spam, etc)) along with dry beans and rice. Hard red and white wheat is also kept as it will store longer in berry form rather than ground up. We also keep a supply of water on hand, along with a water filter. All items are rotated as we replenish.
  21. yup, the UpLULA works on just about every handgun magazine. I've seen it work on a single stack .380 mag, to a double stack .45. I've got the UpLULA and so does the wife.
  22. The Shotgun night has resumed at Range USA, the AR night has not yet resumed however. The 7.62x39 cannot be shot there, so that is out of the question. There is also the Desoto Rifle and Pistol club, but the club is closed for hunting until 3/1/09. http://www.desotorifleandpistolclub.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx
  23. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
  24. COOL! You did well, keep up the good work!
