Saw 2.999 at the corner of Reese & Whitten on the way home.

Tactical Innovations TAC-65 also comes apart for cleaning, I've seen it listed starting at $199.00 Hopefully I'll be purchasing one within next couple of weeks

Yup, I saw them, it was on my mind to look as the wife called me at the range wanting to know when I would be home as she was in tremendous pain. When I got home, she promptly passed out due to the pain. Turns out she had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured one of her tubes. So first ambulance ride was to Baptist East, then from there to the Womens hospital for the surgery. NOT a fun night. While it may be easier to ask forgiveness than permission, I just don't want to be asking for forgiveness from 201 poplar while a loved one is in the hospital. Just my opinion.

Last time I went to Baptist ALL entrances were posted, even the doors where the ambulance arrives. I've been through there twice now:dropjaw: with the wife being the one in the back of the ambulance. Heck, she even had a fun ambulance ride from Baptist East to the women's hospital, just a couple hundred yards and about a million speed bumps. And yes the women's hospital was also properly posted.

Just ask him about the time the instructor asked to see his gun in the classroom.

a big thumbs-up for Foxmarks. I run firefox on a laptop, home PC and work PC and they all have the same bookmarks. When I update a bookmark on one it will show up on the others. I love it

Just saw this today, your son has my prayers for a speedy recovery. Fortunately he's young and will heal quickly.

It's possible, I do see some hint of rifling in the bore. But one thing I noticed was that the bore brush does not have good contact with the barrel until about 1/2 way through it. I've got some ammo on the way, and new parts have been installed. There are 2 firing pins in the bolt, the rear one looked like someone ground some metal round, put the notch in it and used it, totally not factory. Well both firing pins have bee replaced, the pins that hold the firing pins, and 4 screws have been replaced. Everything is cleaned and ready to go. When I get the ammo, I'll let you know how it shoots.

jwp, Thanks for the info. I have looked at Redmans, but I would rather keep the rifle near to me and not have to ship it someplace. I'm probably just over worrying, but I would hate to lose this family heirloom in transit. Grout, I've tried the vinegar/HP thing a couple of times. I can now see "some" rifling in the barrel, but I don't know if it would be enough to engage the bullet. Also when cleaning, the bore brush doesn't have much resistance until about halfway down the barrel. Thanks again for the info. Ryan

I recently acquired an old Marlin 1894 from my father. This gun was my Great-Grandmothers gun and it was used to put food on the table. I would like to restore it to be able to shoot it again, I can get the parts I need (screws, pins, etc.) to fix it up, but the bore is shot, or should I say shot out. There is little, to no rifling left. Does anybody know of a gunsmith or metal works place that can reline it for me? BTW, the caliber is .25-20 and I would like to keep it that way. Thanks Ryan

BTW, how did your daughter like the youth class? You do know you can get her one of those rifles in pink right?

I work at RUSA so what I posted are the rules regarding persons under 21. The reason the rules state "under 18 must be with an adult" is that 18 - 20 year olds can come and shoot rifles without their parent or legal guardian. Ryan *disclaimer: I do not represent RUSA on this board or any other forum. The information in this post is based on my personal knowledge and opinion.

Just a quick update about "minors" at RangeUSA. Under 21 can only shoot handguns with parent or legal guardian present. 18 and up can shoot rifles (in allowed calibers) without parent or legal guardian present. Check with Range Employee's for more information.

I'm not familer with that Lee kit, I started with the Deluxe Turret kit. I can load that with the auto-index or use it as a single stage. I did single stage until I got the handle of everything. I have since added a Dillon SDB (Square Deal to the mix and I do love it. I can easily load 400 rounds an hour. I still need to get me a bullet puller Yeah, I got a couple of rounds that need to be pulled If you can, find someone close to you that reloads and get with them.

I picked up a DPMS 16" AR from a local range's consignment area a couple of months ago. It's an A3 configuration with an Eotech 5.11 sight, flip-up rear sight, phantom flash hider, Vltor collapsible stock, houge pistol grip, and a few other "upgrades" Shoots nice, and I like it. My next one will prolly be a home built AR, just because I can do it

1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself. 2. Avoid cutting yourself slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop. 3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink. 4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer. 5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button. 6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough. 7. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. 8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Glad to see that they are taking care of your broken holster. Nice to find a company that not only stands behind their product, but provides good customer support as well. I've bookmarked GA's website for future reference

Don't forget, since he "retired" before the conviction he gets to keep his state pension. So, if he ever does any time in jail, he'll still be collecting money from us tax payers  source:http://www.wmctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=3413822

Well, I'm in Collierville so I'm out Y'all have fun!!

Len, I'll get us back on subject Unfortunatly it's not just the reporters and anti's that get it wrong. Working at a range I hear "clip" everyday when people are referring to a magazine. "Do you have an 'clips' for a springfield XD?" Nope, but we have a couple of magazines over here if that is what you would like. No, I don't say that, but I do say, "our magazines are over here, let me look and see if we have one". Yeah, if I could get paid a bonus every time someone said "clip" instead of "magazine" or "mag" I would be rich.
