  1. LegalRaptor, Since you are in Memphis, swing by Range USA and have her rent a couple different guns to try out. While the range does not have a Kahr to rent they do have a Bersa Thunder, and a variety of 9mm (Glock, Springfield, S&W, etc) The rental cost is $10 per lane session, so you can get a Glock, shoot a mag through it, swap it out for the XD, shoot a mag through it, swap it ou for a S&W, etc. There is no additional charge to change out the rental gun, unless you change calibers, then you just need to buy that ammunition.
  2. Just when you think heard of all the idiotic things people do, someone comes along and does something even more idiotic. geesh, that is just nuts!!!
  3. Got to watch the clip last night. She was typical politician, ignore the question and push her own agenda.
  4. Dang "smart filter" at work. I'll have to look at the video tonight when I get home.
  5. OK, Just makin' sure we are all on the same page Ya, most people that I know of getting permits get them within 6 weeks.
  6. Congrats, As it has been said, now for the waiting game. My wifes permit took 4 weeks from fingerprinting to permit in the mail.
  7. COOL, Now we just need to be able to carry in places that serve alcholal for on-site consumption!! Time to start writing our Reps let them know what WE want!!

    Mossberg or 870

Tungsten, I have seen the ATI stocks, and IMHO they are cheap, plastic, and not something I would want on my home defense gun. I talked with Scott at Range USA as he has done a few conversions of shotguns to have the collapsible stock. He recommended the Calvary Arms AR-15 buttstock adapter. It's expensive, but it's nice!! I have one on my 590A1 now. I also upgraded the buttstock to a Vltor 6 position collapsible stock, and upgraded the pistol grip. I'll track down the pic I have of my 590A1 after the conversion and post it here later today.
  9. Nice article! Thanks for posting
  10. I just renewed mine in Feb. My permit was set to expire in April, and I got a nice little reminder from the Dept of Safety about it. I filled out the renewal and dropped it off in the mail the next day. About 5 weeks later I had my new permit in hand
  11. Just curious where you got that number from. From the Dept of Safety's website they list this: * Upon a name search approval from TBI, the permit can be issued within ninety (90) days from date of application. http://state.tn.us/safety/handgun/generalinfo.htm
  12. Very good read. As a permit holder it is wise to know how the legal system is "interpreting" the law. I know I have seen some businesses that just use the circle with a slash over a gun, and I have always treated them as invalid, the AG agrees, good
  13. Welcome Woody!
  14. Saints, I just checked the calendar at RangeUSA, TFA will be meeting there this Thursday (4/19) from 7:00 - 9pm. Please do forward any information from TFA to the board.
  15. Welcome, and congrats on the G19
  16. Welcome Mike!!
  17. Hey Tommy, this is Ryan. Sorry to hear about your injury, I was not at the range all week due to my wifes own little emergency. Hope your knee heals quickly.

    FFL transfers

Voodoo, no need to wait 'till Tuesday to "set it up". Go to the ranges website (www.rangeusa.com) and find the FFL transfer form. you can print this off and fax, or email it in to the range. Let your seller know where the gun is going to and it will be done. The $50.00 fee is due when the gun comes in.
  19. Tungsten, Great job on taking your son shootin'. I plan on introducing my daughter to shootin' when she gets a bit older.
