  1. WOW, great find, you are lucky! I've got 2 336's both are excellent guns.
  2. Geesh, why do they keep blurring and unblurring the bird?? I didn't have anything like that contraption growing up. We raised chickens for food. We used an old log with 2 nails in it to hold the head. Grabbed the wings and feet, then loped off the head with a hatchet.

    The new AR

Nice, I'm working on my first build now. I have everything but the completed upper I contacted Del-Ton they said a 10wks to ship the upper (and it is in stock). Contacted Wilson Combat to get an upper from them, nope they are only selling completed rifles for the time being. I may end up haveing to assemble my upper, but I'd rather get a completed one, oh well.
  4. :bowrofl: Hmm, upon closer inspection, the battery pack is located where one would reload the nails, so where do the nails get loaded from, or is this a single shot model?
  5. That was great!!!
  6. I've seen it before, but it worth seeing again and again. Very well done!
  7. Quick question, when filling out a form 4 using a trust, will a copy of the trust paperwork need to be included with the form for when sending it in?
  8. My best "why unions suck" story comes not directly from me (though I have worked in a union before) but from a company that I used to work for. Once a month the president of the company did a "new employee meeting". I thought, "oh joy, get to listen to a bunch of BS from the pres, happy happy, joy joy". Boy was I wrong, best meeting of my life. One part was about unions. He said that the employees could form a union, or join one, it was their "right", but as soon as one was formed in the company they (president and CEO) would close the doors, as that was their right. Then he went on to give a story of why he hated unions. Early in his career he worked for a manufacturing company, one day while walking through the factory a worker was on a ladder fixing some equipment when he dropped a bolt. Being the nice guy that he was, he retrieved the bolt, and handed back to the union worker. Later that day he was called into his supervisors office as was told there would be a "formal reprimand" in his file because, "as a non union worker, he the work of a union worker". Yup, the guy that he "helped out", formally complained that a "non-union" worker was doing his job. Now my only experience with a union is when I worked as a janitor for a hospital while in college. All they did from me was take over half my check.
  9. Jay, Contact Kristen at Range USA, she'll be the instructor for the class. The age requirements are generally flexible, so there shouldn't be a problem with him going into the "Level II" class. You can bring your own weapon, but they are also provided in the class, along with the ammo. For more info: http://rangeusa.com/Training/RangeUSAUniversity/EntryLevel/FirearmSafetyMarksmanshipYouth/tabid/213/Default.aspx
  10. Looks like the big side will not open until next week But at least the restaurant is open with AWESOME food This link will take you to the menu: http://rangeusa.com/Portals/0/1776/1776_Menu_II.pdf
  11. i think what would have been even funnier if he had turned on the dash cam and gotten the whole thing on video, then post that video here.
  12. Too funny. They moved to the country for the peace and quiet of the country life only to have it interupted by hunters LMAO, that is to good. Oh, and there is no way I could have kept a straight face.
  13. I've got the keypad, but like others have said, if I did it again, I would get a dial. As far as the programmed combination, it is stored in what's called "electronically erasable programmable read only memory, or EEPROM. This is why your battery can die and it will still retain your programmed code. It's getting close to the time I need to buy a bigger safe, I'm acquiring too many toys
  14. 3 votes, for 3 different days LOL 1776 (restaurant inside Range USA) is now open. The big side target system is being installed and should be done this week (but don't quote me on that )
  15. Last time the wife and I went shooting I let her try my Mosquito out. She put one mag through it handed it back and said "You can keep it, I don't like it. There's NOT ENOUGH RECOIL" :P
  16. yup, I get a daily email from the MPD called "Cyber Watch" Shows what's happened in a 1 min radius from my home. Not as bad as your list, but still. The email also contains a list of sex offenders in your area and any warrants issued for people in your area.

    grrrr...

    I couldn't watch it.
  19. I started with the lee anniversary kit, and still use it for the calibers I shoot the least (rifle cal mainly). I was acutally able to snatch up a Dillon Square Deal B press for a hundred bucks. A couple of parts were busted, a quick call to Dillon and the replacements were in the mail - no charge. The wife got me a caliber conversion kit for the press, but they had changed the way the powder drop system worked, another call to Dillon and the needed parts were on the way, again no charge! Now the SDB cannot do the rifle cartridges, but the 550 can. I can't complain about the Lee press, It worked great as a starter press using it as a single stage press while I learned how everything worked.
  20. Welcome!
  21. Awesome!
  22. I shoot a G27 (and 23 and 22) and primarily shoot my own reloads. Never had a problem, and hope I never due. I use FMJ bullets, and use moderate loads.
  23. http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/194373.php He hits most, if not all, of the key points for this election. Spread this around!
  24. It can also be that even though the original code read said it was the catalitic converter it was still the MAF that caused it. For example, my van had the CEL come on and it read that all 4 O2 sensors were reading lean, and that they should be replaced. A quick google search found a TBI on the the codes returned and I found out that it was not the O2 sensors, but some "isolator bolts" on the intake manifold that were bad (Ford knew about it, but only replace if under warranty). After that was fixed I had another code come on and say that the EGR valve was bad, nope not the case, just a pressure switch had failed. A $30.00 part vs. $100+ part, guess it pays to google everything LOL If your CEL light comes on again, take it back to the VW shop and have them print out the codes. Then have your daughter take it back to the dealership, have them print the codes. See how they compare, if they are different then ask the dealership why that is.
