  1. Now this is the kind of hard-hitting, in-depth information that I've come to expect from this forum. Thanks, Garufa, for pulling back the curtain and exposing the white trash, trifling manner in which some inferior ammo is packaged.
  2. Academy in Rivergate had most all calibers in stock except 380. Rivergate WM had alot of 40, 38+p, very little 9mm, and a good assortment of 22. I think I even saw a couple of boxes of 45.
  3. I finally received the Golden Saber 380 that I ordered from Cabelas a month ago. I got an email last week telling me it was still on backorder and low and behold, it showed up today.
  4. I don't know anything about Clay county, except that it's very near to Harlan county. My daddy used to hunt and fish in the Harlan area and he told me it wasn't no place to be snooping around without a local with you. He said most of the people were real clannish and extremely suspicious of outsiders. He said he never really feared for his safety, but he was plenty cautious when he was there. He also was pretty much armed all the time, too.
  5. Academy in Rivergate had 380 as of 1pm today. At least a dozen boxes that I could see of Monarch @ 14.99 a box.
  6. WM in Rivergate has the rarely seen and often sought after WWB 100rd boxes in 45auto. I was there about 2:30pm and they had at least 5-6 boxes. They also had 100 round boxes of 40 and 38 and lotsa 50 round boxes of 9mm.
  7. Rivergate WM has lotsa Federal 9mm, lotsa 38+P, and 40. Didn't see what else they had, the counter was surrounded with peeps getting fishing licenses.
  8. I've had one for several months and have put about a hundred rounds through it, with no FTE or FTF's. It is perfect for what it was designed to do...an easily concealable gun to carry when it's not practical/possible to carry something bigger. Mine conceals nicely in a Desantis Nemesis. The only downside is the relative unavailability of 380 ammo.
  9. Thanks for the range report! Your review is very encouraging as I just purchased a P07 at Guns and Leather a couple of days ago. Haven't had the time to get to the range, but I should rectify that this week. The gun feels good, looks good, and it's a CZ! I just wish there was more of a selection of holsters without having to use a G19 or XD holster. Smith, did you get the guide rod from Don on the CZ forum? It may be something I will want to look into. Once again, thanks for the report.
  10. Rivergate WM @ noon...lotsa of WWB 50rd 9mm, federal 22 bricks, a few Winchester 22 bricks, quite a bit of .40,some Federal, some WWB. Saw one lonely 100 round box of .45 ACP WWB. They also had a lot of WWB 50 round .38 +P. It's nice to see ammo on the shelves.
  11. I was in Academy in Rivergate yesterday and the Sigmas were on sale for $319, so they're normally higher, say around 349 or so. No free mags from S&W with this particular sale, though. I'd say 250-275 for the Sigma.
  12. Big Brown just showed up....380 is in the house!
  13. Yeah, I know what you mean. It took 'em years to finish 65N out toward Hendersonville and by the time they opened it, it was already obsolete.
  14. LOL...I meant "on the way" as in...aw, you knew what I meant. How's the construction on 40 going? Bout finished yet? Mike
  15. Thanks for the heads up! Got me 4 boxes on the way...might actually get to shoot that LCP.
  16. Rivergate WM had some WWB 100rd about an hour ago. 15-20 boxes of 9, 8-10 boxes of 40. No 380 or 38.
  17. Beautiful piece of work, that CZ. I looked all over Nashville a while back for a PCR, but no one had one. Most guns shops didn't even know what it was, they kept confusing it with the P01.
  18. Hendersonville WM had the one box of .40, several boxes of 357 both sig and magnum and some 25acp, all WWB. No 9mm, 380, or 22lr.
  19. I've been in that Hendersonville WM umpteen times over the last month and all I've seen is a few boxes of .40S&W they always seem to have. I don't know if they haven't gotten any ammo, or sell all they get in a matter of minutes. The guy I usually see in the sporting goods dept. always looks pissed when you ask about ammo.

    RUGER LCP

I picked up one at Academy Sports a couple of weeks ago for $349. Still can't find any ammo for it.
