" I was in a gun fight but dont try to google it" What in the world? -
Great gun. I carry mine every day. Did the MTAC from the recommendations here. Very comfortable to carry. Congrats! Welcome to the club

I was already not in a charitable mood today anyways. I had reps from the Tennessean newspaper come by and want me to advertise in the paper. Hmmm let me think. Give money to a company that is completely against the second amendment, but hides behind the first...... what should I do....
-
Wow, that is good. I might have to use that one.

It is just one of my business's. But still Nissan, asking for handouts...

So I got this email today from someone at Nissan. I will leave his name out and his info, but it really hacks me off. Here it is "Good afternoon! I’m working with several colleagues to plan a social event for a group of computer professionals at Nissan. This is a casual afternoon event, and because of the difficult economic times for Nissan, it has almost no budget. I did, many months ago, meet an entrepreneur starting a gourmet cupcake business, who, for certain events, provided complimentary cupcakes (along with a stack of business cards) for the publicity which those cakes would provide. Unfortunately, I don’t have her card now. I’m wondering whether you would be interested in such an arrangement, and I’m shamelessly asking. We are expecting a maximum of 60 IT professionals working at Nissan in Cool Springs. The event will take place on 6/18. Thank you for your consideration." What do you all think I should respond to him with?

Looking to buy a scope for my AR. This is the first scope I have ever bought and I have no idea where to start. I would like to start in the $400 range on the high end. What should I be looking at?

June Middle TN Meet & Shoot -- Choose The Date
Wrangler replied to TGO David's topic in Events and Gatherings
When I went last weekend, and joined the range, he told me no full autos due to the neighbors. He did say that the meeting last time was fun. He enjoyed it. Great guy. Wish I could have made it, but will try to this time. Cant wait. Thinking of going again this weekend. Going to try out a new scope a friend gave me for my AR. Anybody else going out there this weekend? -
Saw the elusive Carry Badge!!!! (well about 6)
Wrangler replied to Wrangler's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Watch out, there is a guy at Princes Hot Chicken here in nashville that has one, complete with his Black "Security" shirt, Security guard badge, shoulder holster, and about 400 pounds on him. -
Should have read a little more before the last post. Anyone can become a squire as long as a current squire sponsors them. You get a card and I believe a 1 in by 1 in piece of land at the distillery. From what I remember, if you have a family member who is one that passes away they can transfer it to you but not completely sure. You can only sponsor 3 a year. And you have to say that Jack is your whiskey of choice. Which mine is.
-
Only if you are with him. But he can sponsor you and you can become one yourself.
-
If you are a squire, We have a special room where we can go and "sample" Jack Daniel's.

Wow. What do you all think he bought it for?

Got this today from my grandmother. There were my grandfathers but he is now in a VA. He has alzheimers so he cant tell me when he got it or when the last time he shot it. The gun says on one side Hi-Standard Double 9 .22 Cal on the side with a picture of a longhorn on it. The other side has a number of 98XXXX with a W-101 under it. I have found some info on it online but wanted to ask you all what you thought. How much do you think it is worth? Dont want to sell it but just curious. Thanks in advance
-
I would be willing to do that in my store. Although being a cooking store, it might cost some of you more if your wives come.

Just saw the over at gizmodo. New show on Discovery. looks cool!

Will. You and your family will be in our prayers

Wow. What a thread revival.

I agree with all the other posts. From my personal experience I had a Taurus 24/7 Pro and I traded it in for my Glock 19. I would never have another gun. Glock is proven

I did forget to mention how many people I saw walking around trying to sell gun with their booger on the trigger. Many times i wanted to fall on the floor laughing -
I went and didnt see any at that price. the only glock I saw for under $500 was a 26 and it was used and had not been taken very good care of. It was selling for $450.

So I went tot the gun show in Nashville today, just because it was buy my house. As I walked in the guy checking to see if your guns were loaded had one sticking out of his pocket. I did happen to notice that it did say "Concealed Handgun Permit" while he was open carrying. Immediately I though this was going to be interesting. So I started to walk around and to see what I could find when a guy just backed in to me. It was an accident. No harm. He turned around, apologized and so did I. When he turned back around, I saw a gold thing on his belt. So I looked and again, the was the elusive badge. I kept walking down the isles looking at the tables when low and behold, three guys were walking the opposite direction with more carry badges around their neck. They also didn't have any guns on them that I could see. As I started looking for some .380 (which I found for $30 a box) I saw a guy walking around with his old M1 on his shoulder, a 1911 in a SOB holster, a revolver in a cross draw, another 1911 stuck in front, and a large revolver on his other side. Right there in his front belt was another carry badge, in one of those wallet style cases. It has been quite a fun morning. I just wish they did have good prices on the guns.
