  1. If they are avid outdoorsmen and shooters, then they fall into the category of people who really should expect to pay something for admission to these events. The kids who are 10 and under are typically dragged along by their parents and don't really want to be there to begin with, so we figure it's a little unfair to ask the parents to pay their way in. Please understand that we aren't doing this for philanthropic reasons. All parties involved, all the way down from the vendors, manufacturers represented, the guy leasing the building to us and even me and Joe hope to make some money off of this. We have to draw the line somewhere.
  2. Thanks. The software responsible for that is the Lightbox java library.
  3. Most events like this CHARGE for kids under 10, just at a reduced rate. The decision to charge for kids 11 and older stems from the fact that at that age, they generally aren't "tag alongs" but are there because they want to be there.
  4. Signing up under another account just pisses me off. Now it's permanent.
  5. Yeah, that's my plan at the moment. Unfortunately after about 5 mins of hold-music, my calls are being disconnected. Not sure if it is them or my phone/service. I'm going to call later tonight.
  6. I had to cancel my XM service when we traded our Acura off. The new car has SIRIUS (bleh) and I'd like to activate it but I don't want to pay full price if I don't have to. Just wondering if any of you have a current SIRIUS promo code that might enable me to save a little money.
  7. DUB = I had Brembos on the Acura TL also, being that it was one of the last manual 6-speed models. Mashing down on them was like throwing an anchor out the window. It's about the same with the SRT8 despite it's portly 5000 lb GVWR. Yep... 5000lb.
  8. Let's media blast it and Duracoat it!!!
  9. Yes, but I am waiting on confirmation before I make a large-scale announcement of where we are. The event is still ON and it's actually taking on a very polished presence as both Outpost and Barrett are putting quite a bit of money and resources into it. I hope to have THE formal announcement available by this time next week.
  10. I have added a photos section to the site... Mid-South Guns And Gear Expo - Photos Let me know what you guys think.
  11. Thanks, and I'm sure I will occasionally be able to wrestle the truck back. I make it sound worse than it really is; I actually prefer that she drive the F250 to and from work because it puts that much more steel between her and the morons in Nashville traffic. She couldn't drive the manual transmission Acura, so I never could "borrow" the truck on days that I needed to haul things around. Now I can. Will do. It needs a good detailing, which will happen as soon as the weather cooperates. I never let the dealerships detail my cars if I have a say in it.
  12. The problem with sub-compact guns like the XD "SC", the M&P C, the Glock 26/27 is not the fact that the grips cannot be extended. They can, as you have noticed. The problem is that you will eventually and inevitably pinch the living @#*! out of your hand when you do a mag change under pressure because of the small grip. It isn't pleasant.
  13. Actually, "bring backs" were pretty popular in that era as trophies of war.
  14. So does my wife. I get conjugal visits with the truck now when it needs fuel or washed.
  15. You have a PM. Take it to heart.
  16. You're treading on thin ice.
  17. Signed the papers tonight. We now own 16 spark plugs and a four-door plug carrier.

    PMags Questions

My PMags all run OS-X. Thank you, thank you! I'm here all week folks!
  19. Yep. Coppa Smurf. Brother of Pappa Smurf, uncle to Coppa Feel.
  20. Only the smurfy ones that have no arms or legs, and hover about 5' off the ground!
  21. We'll do our best to make it, but Sept and Oct are going to be crazy-busy for me with the TGO / Outpost / Barrett event breathing down on me.
  22. As absurd as this sounds, I kind of like the idea of the blue B27 targets as it makes it a little easier to see your hits.

Perhaps what we need is someone to co-admin the USGO site; someone who has the free time to try and grow it into something active.
