I've been threatening my wife to send my P-01 to CGW for years and she keeps calling my bluff. The jokes on her, I have better backup choices now. I think you just talked me into it. Thanks!

I’m just here to help 😂

I have never witnessed such an all-out attempt to pass anti-gun laws in TN before. Just watched the fiasco on TV all afternoon. Expelled 2 representatives from the governing body in Nashville yesterday afternoon for their protest on the floor in Gov.

Around here lots of folks think the way to win is to be the loudest, but those two confirmed that screaming at their colleagues with a Sharpton bullhorn was a flawed tactic.

Mind if I ask where'd you get the slide milled and how much? That looks right as rain on that P-01!

Thanks!  I bought a new P-01 from Cajun and they did the whole thing, including the hard chrome slide.  It has their Pro Package (SKU 91199) and DA/SA is <7 lbs/3.5.  I think I have around 1600 in it including the dot, LOK grips, shipping, and FFL.  Wasn't cheap, but she's a shooter and a hellacious carry gun.  Their website says they would do the milling like mine for $160.

    Greg...

We are seeing it here in Knoxville in the hipster microbrewery scene.  Ya are seeing the microbrewery guys doin " special events " aimed at the " alternate " community.  These guys are the ultimate, hard working, quick thinking,  cynical, capitalists entrepreneurs; workin hard ta get every dollar available from every people group.  At least two that come to mind here are the Gypsy Circus cider guys, and the Yeehaw brewery guys.  I do business with both these guys.  Once in a " Blue Moon ", I have some hard cider.  I love and highly recommend Yeehaw 80, it's a great ale.  That said, I have been absent from the aforementioned " special events ".

    ale n cider drinking leroy...

Microbreweries are (presumably) an adult venue and are private businesses.  So whatever.  However, holding such an event at a venue where children are always present, especially a taxpayer-funded location like a library, zoo, or museum, should be off limits.  We are being told that first graders can pick their sex and that the voting age needs to be lowered, but the same people argue that 18 year olds are not mentally developed enough to own guns or be held accountable for crimes.  Wonder why the duality?

Whatever the case, hopefully McNally's apparent downfall will help 2A causes in TN.  I'm not holding my breath, though.

If you don't want your kids to see that, don't take them.

I won't, but I don't think they are always highly publicized beforehand.  Years ago, a friend took his daughter to Disney World during gay week.  He had no idea it even existed and was horrified and asked for his money back, which he didn't get.  I guess you could simply argue he shouldn't have taken his daughter there.

Your kids are likely in more danger from their local Priest/Pastor than anyone dressing up in drag.

My daughter is in no danger from a priest or pastor.  But bashing anything religion-oriented is another fashionable phenonenon nowadays that is also curiously promoted by the same people pushing LGBTQ.

How often do queers and other of that ilk actually do that?  I get the concern, I don’t want it shoved down my throat or anyone else’s either.

I’m also tired of the perception that it’s some kind of daily moral crisis that the media makes it out to be.  Our state legislature plays right into the hands of that small fringe that are pushing such aberrant  behaviors.

It’s so obvious it’s ludicrous how absolutely stupid everyone in this society is.

I agree that it's a fairly recent phenomenon, but so is just about every new show including some LGBTQ material that is completely unrelated to the plot.  More kids' shows are including subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle sexual material, almost always geared toward LGBTQ.  Now every month some teacher is found teaching something completely inappropriate stuff to first graders.  Some justify all this being shoved down our throats as exposing our young to things that really happen and people who really exist in the name of tolerance, but there's more to it than that.  If they want to increase membership and breed more like-minded people, indoctrinating children is an obvious means.

But when you tell me that I can't do something because it goes against your beliefs, well then Bubba, we got us a problem. 🤨

    Pedophiles would agree with you.

  7. I have no problem with the drag show legislation.  LGBTQ folks can do whatever they like with each other, but when they wear fake boobs and a bondage outfit and do a stripper-ish routine at the local zoo or library and bill it as a “family friendly” event for kids, that’s a problem.

It is sad we have been conditioned to hate anyone who took risks, worked hard, made sound decisions, and became successful.

It's a common theme on TGO.

We have the best government money can buy. Its just out of most of our price range. Those that can afford it make the most of it. And yes, they are the  boogeyman. 💩

It's certainly not perfect, but the alternative absolutely sucks.

I'm talking about the billionaires that actually own this country, Congress and the entire world. Your friends just weren't rich enough.

They actually owned quite a bit.  They didn't starve and recovered, but they sure didn't get richer.

Nothing personal, but I just get tired of 'the rich" whoever that is, generically being the boogeyman.  There are people who would probably think you and I are rich.

The only things I'm certain of is that the rich keep getting richer

Define the rich.  I know a couple people I consider rich who lost their asses in 2008-09.

    Deerslayer,

You may have seen this movie before...

But it's a new cast and are any of the Hollywood remakes worth a crap these days?

Exactly what I was thinking.  The remake is usually worse.

What Jerk seasoning do you guys like?  I don't mind if it's spicy but, not too spicy for the rest of my family.

Plain old McCormick is the most common.  Sometimes it can be hard to find.  You can adjust the heat by using more or less seasoning.  It's usually not blazing hot, though, or I wouldn't like it.  Sometimes I'll marinate a batch of jerk and a separate batch with chipotle or mesquite seasoning for my daughter.

You can swap regular cooking oil for the olive oil.  Also, I usually try to use low salt soy sauce.

    Now I'm hungry lol

Agreed, but as I said before, Weirich needed to go. Maybe now that folks are seeing just how bad it was inevitably going to get with an activist like Mulroy, maybe a proper reorientation can occur.

7.5 more years of Mulroy and it won’t matter.

And that's fine. Most people seem to think MPD's issues are wide spread and started long before they murdered Tyre Nichols.  Sometimes an event like this is the catalyst needed for change. The fact that they are taking this seriously and show willingness to make changes seems like a good thing to me. How often have we seen departments come to the conclusion they did nothing wrong?

Except MPD is not showing willingness to makes these changes - these were proposals that the city council wants to shove down MPD's throat (and all other departments in Shelby County with the county commission's assistance).  The MPD director objected to four of the six ordinances.  Some of the council members are using a tragedy to push their defund/woke goals.

You asked me what changes I would make.  If I were king, I would be a LOT choosier about whom MPD hires and promotes.  A couple times I've dealt with the police at work and a co-worker has made the comment "they hired HIM?!"  Stop lowering standards.  Ahh, but it's hard to find people, right?  The same city council that claims it is all about our safety fought tooth and nail for years to bar any MPD officers from living outside Shelby County.  They even succeeded in getting a residency referendum REMOVED from the ballot in an election.  The reason they didn't want the citizens to have a say?  One council member said they just don't want that "Mississippi mentality."  What exactly does that mean?  I think we all know.  The state forced Memphis to change, but the intent is still alive and well.

You’re kidding about the police imposters, right?

Nope - I don't remember the last time I heard of this ACTUALLY HAPPENING around here.  I have read where people didn't want to pull over because they feared this, only to discover that the unmarked car was driven by a real cop.  Whether it happens or not, it's highly disingenuous of city council members to cite this as a reason for their ordinance.

No amount of funding will stop what’s occurring in a corrupt Memphis PD or a lawless city of Memphis unless the DA puts and keeps people including violent juvenile offenders in jail.

Mulroy has not indicated that keeping people in jail is a priority.  If fact, he seems more worried about unemployed criminals having a low enough bond so they can get out the same day they are arrested for some felony.
