  1. Welcome! Vendor Site: https://akvat.com
  2. I just cannot imagine how much it is going to cost the State to implement a new process like this, process, computer systems, personnel, oversight, etc.
  3. That’s a scary thought. It would be nice, as others point out, if this would put us closer to constitutional Carry. Still, reciprocity would be an issue either way.
  4. Your existing permit will continue to have the reciprocity it has today. The big question is, will the new, lesser permit have reciprocity. I think the answer is "no". The reason we have reciprocity with many states on the existing permit, is because of the required training. Since there is no standardized training on the lesser permit, I think the lesser permit holders will loose reciprocity.
  5. We had to bump the date on this event to May 25th. Hope to see you there, and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions! Here is a video of one stage of our IPSC Competition:
  6. We would like to be leaders in technology innovation for civilian firearms training. I have built scenarios that are designed to exercise your eyes, or that develop point shooting skills and even a quick draw gunfight with Yosemite Sam where you can build your speed to first shot using the simulated shot timer and score keeper!
  7. Stop by and say "Hi" Wed-Saturday 10-5:00p.m. Let us know you saw us on TGO, and we will give you a free demo!
  8. Yes, location is important. So is marketing. Sevier indoor range was inconvenient, depending on what direction a person was driving from.

  10. Hi! I am not totally new, I have been a member as a “civilian”, lol. I cannot find a post where I introduced my business, although I did post a few events a couple of months back. So, here goes! I join you as a new business owner! AK Virtual Arms Training LLC opened its doors to the public March 1, 2019. We take firearms safety training into entertaining new directions with the realistic firearms simulator. Although we teach the usual TN Permit Class type stuff, we stretch out into interesting new directions like virtual firearms competitions, 2A parties, youth training and bucket list scenarios! We are technical people and we create our own scenarios from scratch. We can do that for you or your business too! Here is the website. Visit the videos page if you have never seen a firearms simulator before. Sincerely, Andrea, Owner https://AKvat.com
  11. Sevier Indoor Range just closed this past Dec 31. There was some advance notice, but not a lot. They had been around for quite some time. It also seems fashionable to have multiple investors involved in ranges. In this case, it feels like the business location was not turning a good profit per square foot so the investors are going to do something different with it. It’s just business in their minds. What if the majority investor is not as pro-gun as the others? In my mind, there are way too many ranges closing, and not enough new ones to replace them. (I belong to a very special team of range business and technical specialists. Pm me if you know someone who could use assistance.)
  12. When you have your own business, it takes an amazing amount of time to sell, upsell and market outside of the shop to new clients, not just in the shop. I think many people underestimate the marketing and marketing constantly changes because of technology and services like GunBroker. I think a range business can be viable, but the commitment needs to be just as much to marketing, as to maintaining a storefront, range and inventory. So, you have to love guns and marketing.
  13. Yes, I am. I have been having Facebook and iPad troubles also, I am not sure if any of it is related.
  14. Wow. So what does that mean? Will the new owners raise the lease rate to lock in a higher rate for Shoot Point Blank for the next 15 years? I just hope they make enough to sustain an increase. I really hate to see ranges closing down. More close than open.
  15. I am taking my RV for a spring de-winterizing run up in the Morristown / Panther Creek area. Are there any good places to shoot there? Just wanting to know how much lead to pack.
  16. I have had this on my calendar for 6 months, counting the days. But, too much black ice in my neck of the woods.
  17. This event is today. I have not been able to get a final count of who is attending, but if you want to join us last minute, let me know, I can probably fit in 2-3 more people and I think we have enough hot cocoa, coffee and cookies!
  18. Reminder: This event is this weekend. I need a count of who is attending soon, so please let me know if you are interested at your earliest convenience Thank you!
  19. To thank our EMS, Police & Fire Departments for all that they are doing to keep our holidays safe for us, we have w FREE open spots at each of our January events to say "Thank you!" Contact me to reserve your spot today.
  20. What she did was awesome. It goes to show how cowardly these perps are who insist on beating on people smaller and weaker than them. I have been in some really scary situations in my life and I have never peed my pants, lol!! People like the ex are disturbing, especially since I have gone through life as a petite woman and it is not uncommon to have someone bigger and stronger than me think they can lash out at me, push me out of the way or take advantage of me. I do not look forward to looking older, not because I am vain, but because older is yet another category perps think they can take advantage of. I have always said, the gun levels the playing field, old or young, man or woman, big or small.
