on the 69s i do not remember the brand he was reloading, but it was very long, even longer than the 75s i had. and yes it is true that most buy a AR more or less just because they want one, with no thought on twist.

well that is true, getting run over by you once, was all it took! but you did look like a normal human when you were not trying to run me over! -
i got a good laugh out of that reply!

Damn, a normal place finich! but had a great time and the best part was getting squaded with Brad with rifle and how lost he seemed to be! no S on his chest with a long gun! NB Forrest now you just have to beat him with pistol! -
the wind did do a 180 at the target, but i would say based on what you have said it was my technique. it has been about 25 years. thanks Robert

not with the red dot, but with viper scopes. mine have been great and there cs was a big reason i tryed them in the first place.
-
i shot F/TR with 5 X 20 weaver tactical scope and 20 MOA mount. but damn good guess. but now that you said that being a newbie more i shot more i had to adjust after recoil. soo maybe that was part of it. not a solid set up?
-
no idea, for sure. i was working hard on not making a fool of myself with my "little AR that could" as someone told me. it did sound like the person to my right was having trouble. i will try to get allycat and cyh were there and try to get them to chime in.

mike or froggy, i do have a question, about say 13th shot out of 20 i started shooting low. on my 3rd sighter i had the elevation perfect! then like i said i started hitting say about 1 MOA or 10-14" low. any idea's.

alittle history on club scoreing it is done instantaneously with plam plots for normal matches so score are instantly posted. i did e-mail her about your request. this is a copy and paste of her reply. Scores are being worked on. It was all manual and volunteer, so it takes time. All the best, Liz -
if load 6.8 SPC i do have a prize table upper coming i would happy to work something out as i do not reload

i used the final finish loaded ammo on my precision AR. the one i just shot a 1000 yard match with. it will shoot about 0.75 MOA or less at 400 with black hills, i did it when it was new. as for the TMS on my race gun after a few K rounds i start having overpressure trouble, you know blowning primers out. no matter how hard i tryed i could not get the build up out of the throat. so i did try the load ammo TMS. had to use all 20 rounds but it worked! there is nothing like getting a couple primers in the trigger group to light up your day! and have everyone looking at you!

years ago i saw one put 3 bullets side by side at 100 with no paper between the shots. and have know a few guys that loved the 25-06.

Club LR Match Sunday 1/15 @ AEDC (Tullahoma, TN)

Morpheus, i forgot to ask, what happened to hognut? i thought he said we would be there also. if you hognut are a little scare or nervous about it just get with Steve Allen and he will hsve trsined up in no time. this what he had to say about his training of me. Robert was out muscled by .308's, 260's, and 6.5 x 47 Lupua shooting 180-185 gr bullets. The man gave 'em hell and hung in there with 77gr projectiles. 1000 yds with measureable wind? Absolutely Ridiculous! I was far more impressed with the outcome of the little AR that could, over the $5000 custom heavy barrels. Congrats Robert! Lots of fun! I'm glad I'm on your side! all because his (Steve Allan teaching) -
froggy, i know, its just there are times i wish i could remember with no doubts! it is a aweful thing. but back then i also did not give it thought, the bullets that is, just as long as the box/can had correct name on it and was not just delinked M-60. oh well.

damn it, i am not that old! but that is what they were saying at Jim's match! i know i have some problems with my noodle (no not that noodle! the one on top of my shoulders) with legions/mini stokes. i swear the 168 match is what was use with M21. and you had to hit a 1000. god i hope my little pea brain is not that far gone.
-
first, thank you very much froggy. i was going to get a bob sled before i did the 600 F/TR match in Memphis but they said it was not mandatory, and had forgotten about it. wow on your black hills! just so i am clear, it was not 223 or the white box 2nds, it was Black hills 5.56 OTM and each i have checked it. it has always been right at 2858. and i always shoot this gun supressed, and yes it is not NRA match legal. but i would not think it would add that much on FPS. the supresser does tighten the groups up, not a lot but a noticable difference at 400. also this gun will not cycle standard 223 loads, extra wieghts in buffer heavy bolt and adjustable gas block. so it stays locked up longer. the barrel is a white oak destignated marksman 1 x 7. this was my 2nd mid-long range rifle match in my life. 1 at 600 and 1 at 1000. about 25 years ago i had shot a 1000 in the army and was seeing if i could do it again but if was not for F class i would have not tried.
-
yes, Jim was great! he even waved the $5 question fee!
-
the JBM free on line table claims it was after 900 and would be 0.94 mach at 1000. thats with 2858 fps at the muzzle. i hope you are talking about the bullets! like i said about other shooters, 20" 1x7 77's almosted freaked. but they congradulate me afterwards.
-
i met allycat there, he said he was not shooting but just checking it out. but will be at the next one with a 308. i guess i made him feel okay about it, using my AR. i did not know who he was, but for some reason all you TGOers seem to who RWF is. i guess because Robert & Wanda are normally out doing stuff together, i guess. Oak Ridge range is farther from Nashville correct. also i promised Jim if he would put up with me (being a underpowdered newie ) i would not be back, unless i had a proper 1000 yard set up.
-
forgot, before i left i did ask the guys working my target if any bullets had been tumbling. they said no all were nice clean holes. WOO HOO
