    Soon to be new purchase

just remember, that the high end hand built guns are tight, and as a carry gun from time to time it will end up being dry (no lube) and they will fill with dust, lint, etc. and on a tight gun it would not be hard to get that just right amount of trash on any tight gun to cause a failure. just my 0.02 just do a basic break down and cleaning very often. the springfield EMP has been great but you can really see the trash it picks up off of your clothing etc.

    S&W M&P 40 Pro 5

M & P Pro 40 i have seen in use have been great! but as stated it always been at pistol (USPSA) matches 40 has a scoring advantage. but since you are talking about a defencivse roll, if you shoot M & P already and are happy. stay with them, the glock grip angle as you know is a lot different so your point shooting should be low, compared against the Glock that you do not normally shoot. but that is only my 2 cents. just do whats right for.
  3. yes i i feel the love.
  4. yes, production with a 10 round a mag limit or if you have something thats hi cap you can shoot it in limited so you can blast away. of course there is a little more to it but go and have fun.
  5. good to see you and the young men out shooting together! i myself would not do this to a lever gun, but on the noise reduction, the wife uses a YHM mite and i ues a Flaming pig. it does a great job on threaded 22 RF. it splits the differentence between unsuppressed and suppressed. love it. even with standard 22rf ammo no need for any hearing protuction.
  6. i wish i could do it. i was/am in the CMMG but i have to withdrawl from that match. but been waiting awhile to hear something from Ken on the withdrawl. but going to Pro/Am.
  7. DPMS, you not hear much about, unless its a 308, but they have been very supportive of the 3 gun sport, giving away lots of guns! My oldest has one and he is happy with. but at the same time i have seen a competiter walk pass several complete DPMS ARs to get a high end upper, because it was worth more than the complete rifle.
  8. what all the stuff on it? it looked like it bounce around a lot. be it did look fun,
  9. non for sale, but no problem on borrowing.
  10. sorry, at distance i use a 75 grain, but with a 50 yards zero it it makes little difference 55 or75 were they hit.
  11. PMC or Tactical Ammo factory 2nd's $240 per 1000 plus shipping. all the 223 2nd we have ever got look and shoot fine. not sure what makes them 2nds. i have gotten some rough looking 9mm 2nds but they still ran.
  12. told you so!
  13. i would think $10 for a use mag is hi. even if it has the brown follower when you can buy new for $10 on sale almost daily. even new Pmags are only 14 with free shipping.
  14. no, break needed on most, just clean the barrel if you wish. wolf to me is the worst choice period. dirty and the bolt and carrier will be black and red. so good luck. but worry not, the next guy will tell how good wolf is.
  15. hmm, our accountant has always deducted it as a firearms tax, not saying its right or wrong or on a different schedule. but no issues so far. and as i understand with her certification with IRS she gets her data base from IRS each year. like i said do not know, that is what she gets paid for.
  16. i heard it was a great match, but i had to work.
  17. yea still she still did well, after once she got her head back into the game. and honestly do not remember, but if she did it was a smart move on my part!
  18. springfield, great C.S. and there custom shop is just as a good if you ever decide to have it tuned up.
  19. this is not a stage but was a the Masters a year or2 ago, funny but true. we loaded the shooting bags and mags etc. Afterwards i said " i am going to put the guns in the car", well what i really did was put the shooting bags in the car. So when we got to Hoover, AL the wife says "where is my gun?" i said "what did you do with it?" she said "that i said i was putting the guns in the car." i did not know she had not put it in her bag. Sooo she shot the match with her carry gun a EMP. And was not a happy camper for the first hour or 2 later she asked why i was telling everyone, and my reply was the more who know about it the better my chances are of waking up tommorrow. a true story. Damn spelling and punctuation police!
  20. no idea, but people seem to willing to pay more for the name. and because of that i have even bothered to look at one. but with that said, i have seen a Colt CR on a prize table that was just awesome.
  21. the front sight may be a pain, if it is pinned like mine was, YHM makes a tube like you want that should be in your prince range. i myself like the rifle length tube on a 16" gun. samson also makes a nice one with only one rail on top. hogue also makes a over molded one but i do not think you can add rails QD mount Vortex which is a American Defence or Larue, all 3 are at or about the $200 mark made usa. buis will not work with a scope. just leave them off. they would work with the eotech, but my 2 cents not needed, if it is a oh s--t issue if they are in the window of the ectech you will have hit. unless of cousre oh s--t for you is say 35 yards and greater. but that is just me.
  22. slowsure has been around the 3 gun stuff for some time, and he known by all and has some air time at benning i think it so you may want to pay attention.
  23. forgot black hole and black rain. i do know white oak will only backorder for those who prepaid, and that is why they are always out of stock. they never get enough in to cover the prepaid , suppliers - to any left fir them.
  24. sabre is closed, white oak suppies rainer, so look there they carry danel defense etc.. double star, also most places will need a copy of your tax stamp before shipping. i think larue is 1 x 8
