    P89 New ruger owner

I've got the P94 in a 9mm. I pulled it out the other day at the range. I forgot how well it shoots. The great thing about a Ruger is you can shoot any type of ammo out of it. Look for some +P or +P+ ammo for self defense. Golden Sabers are really nice.
  2. I went to the Jan or Feb show in Knoxville and a Romanian AK was going for $750+. It didn't look like it was in good condition either.
  3. I got the storm lake .357 to .40 conversion. I am thinking about picking up the 9mm too. I have started carrying mine as a .40 instead of the .357.

    Taurus Slim 709

If they had a nicer trigger pull on the DAO guns I would really like them. I like the size of the subcompact .45. How much smaller is the slim 9?
  5. One more here.

It took about 5 days to get to TN. They also sell a lot on gunbroker. You might find some on there as well.

    Good Price?

That's a good price. The LEO out the door price is $430ish. I don't think you will find one cheaper.

    My Kahr=crap

I probably won't call, but it still pisses me off.

    My Kahr=crap

I called Kahr today and they haven't looked at my gun yet. They are estimating another 4 weeks. That's some bull****. I'm going to call them twice a week for the next 4 weeks until I get it back.
  10. You could also look at the Stoeger cougar. I saw one at a shop the other day and was impressed with the quality. It was $379 new. You might be able to find one around $349 new.
  11. I think a Bursa .380 is one of the better guns under $300. It will shoot with many guns that cost twice as much. The drawback is that .380 ammo is pretty elusive. A used Ruger is also a good option. I have a P94 that I love. It is built like a tank and will shoot any type of ammo reliably. You can find one at a pawn shop for close to $300.

    beretta cougar

Beretta sold their patent to Stoeger. So it is no longer in production. I don't know when that happened. He wanted $350 for it, but I am going to offer him $325. That might be low balling it a little, but like I said I can get a new one out the door for about $90 more. I think it is the PX4 that took its place. The cougar is pretty heavy for a compact gun.

    beretta cougar

It's a .40. I don't have the gun; I am thinking about buying from a guy who needs some cash. The holster is leather. I didn't see any outside wear on the gun. I can get a new Stoeger for around $379. How much should that affect price of the beretta since it is the same gun?

    beretta cougar

Does anyone know the approximate value of a Beretta Cougar in near new condition with 3 factory magazines and a holster? I don't know what kind of holster it is.
  15. Have you tried any of their other ammo? Is it all reloads?
  16. It is more the to and from rather than market square itself.
  17. It's probably not legal. But that is one are of town where I will not go without my glock.

    Taurus 856HL

I saw this on the cover of a gun mag yesterday. Has anyone shot one yet? I would not mind having one more shot in about the same diameter as a SW 642. I've never shot a Taurus.

    Glock 19....used?

There's not much depreciation in a used Glock. I would rather have a new one for ~50-99 more.
  20. After the first 50-100 rounds you will not have any trouble out of the gun. I bought the custom II target from Mike's gun shop in Tazewell for right at $790 out the door. I also found the Custom II online for $709. It is now $730: http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product918.html The Pro Carry II is $758 http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product46.html.
  21. I bought 2-250 packs of remmington UMC for $190 from Bass Pro Shop online. I'm pretty sure they were $95 each. I split shipping with a friend, but it was reasonable for the weight of the ammo.
  22. Just spend a little more and get a Kimber. You can pick up a custom II for around $750ish. It's definitely worth the extra cash.

    My Kahr=crap

I agree. I paid just as much for the Kahr as I did for my last glock, which was bought at a discount. I expected the same quality.

    Ruger SR9

I second that on wolf ammo. I've shot it out of an AK and it performed pretty well, but everything does out of an AK. Handguns are a different story. There's a reason it is so cheap.

    My Kahr=crap

I'm not going to drag the shop through the mud over this. I am sure that when I get it back they will work with me if something is wrong. They are going to cover shipping to Kahr. I've bought several guns from them and will buy more in the future. They gave me a more than fair price for my trade in (more than I paid for it). It actually makes it worse knowing that I traded a perfectly functioning S&W 642 for a POS.
