I thought all gas had some ethanol in it. It is pretty standard to have <10% for the chain gas stations.

I've got a Colt Python that has only been shot a hand full or times. It is sitting in a safe. Is there anything I need to put on it to protect it from corrosion?

I don't know that it will cause any more wear than a leather one would. It doesn't contact the gun in as many spots as a leather one would. It might be a no go on the pics of mine for at least a day. I have "misplaced" my camera. PM me your email and I'll send one with my phone.

I'd go with the Glock too. I don't like the trigger on the Taurus or the sights or the feel of the gun. The Glock is more than reliable. It's very accurate. How do you plan on carrying it? I carry mine IWB. If that's how you are planning on carrying yours, you might want to consider the compact version instead of the subcompact. There's only a half inch length and height difference in the two. But you get a grip that you can hold with your whole hand instead of having your pinky dangling off the end. You'll have a little less recoil and 13 rounds.

I bought a pocket holster for my 642. I can't recommend them enough. The communication was great and shipping was very fast. I received it 4 days after I ordered it. It's a perfect fit. The gun draws smoothly every time. It is actually just as comfortable or more than my Desantis Nemesis. It is also smaller, and with the curved outside it imprints less.

I never had any trouble while I was at UT (2006 grad). I was occasionally hassled by beggars in the downtown area. The gas stations on Cumberland Ave. are some of the worst areas for that. Every time I pumped gas I was asked for money. I never had any problems in the dorm either. If your child is a female then that is a different story. As long as she doesn't go anywhere on campus alone after dark she should be safe. Send me a PM if you are looking for advice on off-campus housing.

There's nothing wrong with a Taurus.

I went. It was about what I expected. There were 15ish tables, about half were knife only tables. I found some pretty good deals though. $1000 for a sig 226 9mm, and a sig 2022 for $600. The best deal was Blazer Brass .40 cal ammo $35 for 50 rounds. The local walmart had them for $12.97. There were some nice shotguns and several AR-15s. I think the bushmasters were around $1500. I didn't think that was too bad considering the current demand. If you want a good pocket knife, they had plenty. I was looking for a 9mm, and there weren't many there, except Glocks and a couple Sigs.

Bersa makes a hell of a gun. I had the .380 and wish I hadn't sold it.

There are a lot of people on here that like them. I had one and hated it. I didn't like the trigger pull or the way it shot. The one I had was close to a 10lb trigger pull. Like he said it did go boom every time.
