  1. I can tell you when the militant posting "no guns here" will stop. When a HCP holder is seriously hurt or killed in one of these establishments that is post and that HCP holder or their family sues the establishment for not properly securing their safety after removing his or her right to defend themselves. Perhaps that little tid-bit should be on our little business cards.
  2. Members of the Metro Council are exploring whether there is a way Davidson and other large counties can get out of the guns-in-restaurants law through their authority to regulate beer permits. Adam Dread, a former councilman and Nashville attorney, is circulating the idea of passing an ordinance that specifically bans handguns in establishments that have beer permits. Beer, unlike, wine and liquor is regulated by the local counties, and Dread believes their rules trump any that the state might pass. “That was a deal made a long time ago,†Dread said. “Counties get to decide for themselves.†Guns would be permitted in restaurants or bars that have only a liquor permit no matter what action the Metro Council takes. But because the vast majority of those establishments also have a beer permit, Dread believes the practically all of the city’s bars and restaurants would be covered by the ordinance. Councilman Charlie Tygard says he has spoken with Dread and may introduce the ordinance. He says he’s interested in the idea because he fears the city’s tourism industry could be harmed if no-handgun signs start sprouting up on restaurants and bars. The proposal is now being reviewed by legal counsel. If they sign off, Tygard says he may file it as early as tomorrow. That would permit a first reading on June 16 and a final vote by the end of July, not long after the bill’s effective date.
  3. I'm down for lunch just about anywhere in Chattanooga. Agreed on the OC not for me but won't be scared away by those that do.
  4. Nikki, I just wanted to thank you for your leadership and strength on this issue. It has been our privilege to have you amongst us here on TGO. Someday I hope to meet you and shake your hand, look you in the eyes and say THANK YOU. Sooner or later a lives will be saved because of this legislation. I'm just sorry this was more stressful and drawn out than it should have been. Politics suck! The Governor should have just sat on his hands and done nothing for the same end result. I hope this victory gives you some comfort moving forward. God bless you Nikki.

    Ruger SR9

Don't have one but have shot one on several occasions, my range partner does. It is a fine gun and quite accurate. If you like the feel and have the itch I don't think you'll regret scratching it. My Let us know what you decide, and remember with no pics it didn't happen!
  8. I think it is morally fine to abort any virtual pregnancy.

    5 Shot 9mm Revolver

Wow I know it's documented that I said I'm not buying another gun for a long time but I'll give you back your $300. Congrats!
  10. +1 Joe...me 2! Very nice work robtattoo!
  11. My EMP was used so as for break in it was a apparently done for me but I have put 1000+ rounds through it w/o an issue FMJ and JHP of all the types I have. .My Ruger P95 has never had an issue either straight out of the box regardless of ammo. Now other autos some issues. As for tuning on 1911's, I see not much difference in buying a Glock and replacing 1/2 the parts to get it how you want (springs, guide rods, sights, barrels, etc). I can't bring myself to change anything on my EMP it just flat works, now someday I'll see a stove pipe or something but not yet.
  12. Congrats! Had a feeling.
  13. OS. This is just my experience but I could not more highly recommend the EMP. Objectively I do realize that when you spend that kind of $ on a gun you want to love it. But that thing is one hell of a pistol. I can not make it malfunction, it is a work of art, and probably the nicest weapon I will ever own. It has eaten all ammo with no hickups of any kind, and unbelievably accurate for a small package. Maybe I just got a good one. I am no brand honk either, this is my one and only Springer and I would not sell it to you for 2x what I paid. My advice give the EMP a chance I don't think you'd regret it at all.
  14. Not sure all would agree there...messupable, perhaps.... delicate, I don't classify 1911's in general as delicate. Maybe it's because they are so dang pretty and built to such tight tolarances in general, people have the perception they are delicate but they are pretty dang tough IMHO.
  15. Cool, well let me know how you like them I'm really diggin a couple of their options as well. What color you thinkin?
  16. Welcome Rob. Your gonna love it here. Lived in Florida all my life been here 2 1/2 years. This is home! Good luck on the business.
  17. Did you decide not to go with some from Esmerelda? I think I am gonna have to order some from her when the check book finally recovers from actually buying the EMP. Got my eye on the Thor's Hammer pattern in Gaboon Ebony. But these are a good option at a little less $$, although her grips appear to be well worth the price. Let us know what you decide, and Pics for sure (could help me make my decision).
  18. Just got the same addressed to: Friend. Lame was gonna post it and it was already here.
