Do you mind sharing what you paid?

Anyone else have an opinion on the CZ P07? Pricing on it looks very attractive and CZ seems to have a very good reputation.

Governor Phil Bredesen Vetoes HB0962 (Restaurant Carry Bill)
RinTN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That, sir, is a masterpiece! -
If you were to head due east, I'd be in the county before last on the right - just before you crossed in to NC.
-
Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm going to go see if I can put my hands on a few of the recommended options and find out how they actually feel in my hands. I do wish there was a range that did rental closer, as that sounds like a good way to learn about the various options. The closest one that I know of is 100+ miles away, though I may still break down and make the trip before all is said and done.

HexHead, if you recall from the previous discussion, I pretty much agree with everything you've written. In one of my previous posts about this bill I said, "it still feels to me like someone is trying to cause a death by old age." I still feel that way. So, I understand your frustration. Our hope at this point is that the representatives that got this bill to where it is really do know what they are doing. It's going to be a nerve racking few days, but I'm going to try to withhold judgement until things are all said and done. I'd like to ask that you - and anyone else that shares the frustration - try and do the same. -
If I'm reading the information on the site right, it would add $18 for shipping. The price is sure right!
-
The price sure sounds good. I'm just a little hesitant about buying a used gun that I can't actually see beforehand. Have you guys dealt with this company before?
-
So, would most of the rest of you agree with this comment? If there really is that big of a difference, I probably can come up with some additional funds. The trick will be making sure the Mrs. doesn't find out.
-
I wouldn't be expecting to use it as a carry unless something very unusual came up. With that said, are there options that wouldn't cost too much more that you think would be better over all?

Ditto. :-( Though, realistically, I have to think that he would have taken whatever political payoff (or been effected by whatever blackmail) even if the restrictions were in place. The fact that they weren't just gives him some wiggle room to make it sound like he's not as anti-2A as he's showing himself to be. -

After this, I wouldn't be surprised if he voted all the bills. In fact, I'll be surprised if he doesn't veto them all. -

No doubt that is the case. I suspect that his timing was intentional - quite possibly trying to work against an override while letting the bill sit on his desk. -

Yup. If the press conference itself wasn't enough, the fact that he's got that crowd with him is a pretty clear sign of what's going to happen. -

I sure hope so - and I hope it happens FAST. He seriously needs for the legislature to let him know they aren't going to put up with his anti-2A stance. -
It's actually the lowest priced of the options I listed. So, it certainly sounds like a lot of bang for the buck.
-
I'm not 100% against getting something that's used. It's more a matter of finding one that I'm confident is in good condition and priced in my range.

I'm looking for a 9MM on a budget, preferably under $400 OTD. These are some of the options that I've been able to find locally. If you're familiar with some/all of these, I'd appreciate it if you could rank them - 1 as best, 5 as worst. Taurus 24/7 Pro Ruger P95 Stoeger Cougar S&W 9VE Bersa Thunder 9 Thanks!

Liberals frustrated on gun, Guantanamo issues
RinTN replied to Smith's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I saw that article a couple of days ago and thought the exact same thing when I got to her quote. -
Unfortunately, I believe that the closest rental range is Coal Creek in Knoxville. I'd love to have a place closer so that I could get my wife to try several different pistols, but as far as I know there isn't anywhere in the tricities anymore that offers such a service.

I just found out that my new Beretta gets a warranty extension - from 1 to 3 years - if I send in the card. For me that's probably going to be enough incentive to actually do so. Generally, I just store them in the box with the manual, lock, etc.

should physicians routinely inquire about guns?
RinTN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If you were wearing an *empty* holster, I think I would have been confused and given a long pause too! -
I too wish that there was a clear answer to this. Actually, what I really wish is that TN would pass a simple law stating that your car is an extension of your home and that as such you can keep a firearm in it at any time, in any location.

I swear, propaganda like this makes me want to go out and buy an "assault rifle"!
