  5. not sure about too pretty to shoot. but I'm the guy who would drive the wheels off of a one of one vintage movie star multi million dollar green mustang.
  6. I haven't checked today but both the house and senate bills were passing quickly through the various committees. yesterday they had called for removing the requirement of fiscal report from different agencies of the state.
  7. for the fun of it, there is a nice HP that came up on armslist in Knoxville today. $1325.
  8. truly not certain. the wording appears to put the burden of proof on us citizens which won't pass federal court scrutiny so I am taking the wait and see. proof being the background check and required training. if it translates to the same procedure as we now have without the state fees that would fix the proof issue.
  9. somewhat watered down as current permit requires the state approved training.
  10. Channel 2 WKRN Nashville just announced it appears this bill will pass. They then proceeded to interview the owner of a firearms training academy who spouted the exact fearmongering I had written about earlier. We don't need a bunch of people without training running around armed. (not direct quote) I know not all qualified training personnel think or speak this way so PLEASE do not take offense. But this guy is just worried about losing all that state required training money. My local shop now provides the current training free. I agree, everyone should get competency training but it should not be required. Oh by the way, if you look at my previous posts in this thread you will know that I have training. I will revisit where and when I can carry and deploy. We should all keep up to date.
  11. love these. have one saved in my ebay. I like my holo sight, works great for old eyes. with flip ups for back up. just icingon the cake since with my AR pistol I should be able to hit anything in pistol range even without the dot
  12. I used to buy black RUSTLERS for this reason. desk jockey now so none of that matters. when they get too thin for office I retire them to the garage.
  13. won't be me. but someone will no doubt.
  14. danged disrespectful little snot nosed brats
  15. I was forced into it I tell ya!
  16. they know from the history that more people carrying does not equal more gun violence. media is owned by liberals so they want to stop it before it passes.
  17. this is our RIGHT people. get in and dig. stop being negative. there are enough firearm owners in this state to lobby our elected officials to get this through. call, text, tell everyone.
  18. contact you state reps and senators. Bill has already passed judiciary committee. also need to complain to the local news about digging up every possibly even slightly negative firearm "story" and trying to spin and spread fear.
  19. it was. reminds me of a fellow trainee we lost to low IQ mistake
  20. I have to grudgingly agree. I still stand by my beliefs but some people are just nervous around firearms. It comes from the pounding we have had that guns are bad. enthusiasts know they are neither good nor bad but reflect the person holding them.
  21. man,,,from the year I was born. and SO nice! I almost traded for an FM detective (compact) model. just couldn't quite get the deal closed. sad, it's worth more now and I wasn't trading a firearm so I would have come out ahead.
  22. and I do own a few smoothbores. lol
  23. mine too. but as a civilian, I now have firearms. so far, none have been used as weapons thank God.
