  1. Thanks for that lead, I got a job for him.
  2. Was her hair dyed or was it natural?
  3. Ammo availability will dictate what will be ...
  4. It would be wiser to pay attention and confront it. Chance favors the prepared and knowing what the anti-gunners are up to allows the ability to counter their tactics. The post above this one is an excellent example of the duty required to preserve what we have.
  5. One way to handle these threads (being a mod on another forum) is to create a sticky and merge any new thread to the existing one. Several pros to that idea.
  6. Here is a statement that I regularly use to counter "the crazies and the massacres". Here is a novel idea to consider, have you ever thought about what would of happened if each and every one of those crazy people during their quest for notoriety would of encountered an armed LEO, security guard or CCW holder? We have to counter the antigun people with logic and reason because for the most part, they do not use it. I confront them with every encounter I can recognize.
  7. I made custom tool holsters for several years. The forming of the leather in the unfinished stage is done by soaking it in water and forming it around a jig/die or the tool itself. The leather is then left to slowly air dry and while slightly damp can be sewed. The fastest and safest way to breakin any leather good is to get it damp and wear it till it dries. Do not apply heat or sunlight. This is true for boots, leather jackets and holsters. For those that will naysay, think a bit and remember how many times you went hunting with wet boots ... I have several pair that are over 4 years old. Stick newspapers in them and let them dry in cool dry place. Best place is in front of an air conditioner cause the air is dry because it was dehumidified in the cooling process. I broke in my new Galco by getting it damp enough to darken the leather and then wore it for a day or so wiping the moisture off my firearm every hour or so with an old dry wash cloth. This is also followed up with a good firearm cleaning to address the moisture penetration. If you are on top of things, your firearm will NOT rust. Mink oil and silicone will cause the leather to stretch out prematurely. Water will not. It will conform the leather to the firearm and your body shape quickly and safely. I do the same with my m/c leathers and all my boots.
  8. Hello everyone, finally registered after lurking for a bit. Was introduced to this site by a gentleman in a W/C at Carter's indoor range this past winter. I forgot your name but would like to meet you again. Some background, I am a damn Yankee that fell in love with the country and culture here after living near the Boston rim for almost ten years. Never realized how miserable I was there till I came down here on vacation. I have made more friends down here in 6 months than in the almost ten years I was in that area. I moved down and never looked back. This is HOME and I am here to stay! Originally from northern Maine and it is a lot like down here except they speak french up there due to the Acadian and French Canadian influences in that area. Used to be a FFL dealer but let that go. Still love to shoot and looking for activities to participate in. Second obsession is motorcycling and the roads here are incredible. Between work and those two hobbies, don't have much free time.
