Georgia moving to Tenn => HCP?
Currently replied to Currently's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Thank you! -
Friend of mine is moving from Georgia to Tennesee and wants to know if he has to go through the entire Tennessee permitting process or will they honor his GA permit and reissue a TN one in its place?

Liquids go out to the leach field. Solids stay in the tank. Pumping gets rid of the solids.

Engineering school is tough ... very tough and the drop out rate is high. If you stick with it, you have a career ahead of you that is only limited by your competence. You will NOT start with a 6 figure income, I don't care where you work. However, if you make your bones and prove your ability, you can get to a 6 figure income within 7 years. The degree will make you very flexible and you will be able to adapt to any career out there with proper mentorship. An engineer with people skills is a great combination and does help you go up the ladder quickly.

Governor Phil Bredesen Vetoes HB0962 (Restaurant Carry Bill)

I don't believe he will run for re-election ... therefore he is looking way down the line ... suspect he will try to sway for votes from liberal states such as commiechoosetitts and Kalifornication. -

The only problem I had with the Dillon when I owned one was with the powder measure. I have heard that they have since fixed it. IIRC, the charge bar would stick. I would love to find another one used. -
I live right outside of Chattanooga, send me a PM when you get here. I can bring you to the range and let you shoot whatever I have. Only shotgun I have is for home defense, not trap. But I do have others.

Saw the elusive Carry Badge!!!! (well about 6)
Currently replied to Wrangler's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Was made aware of the site a couple of years ago when some 19 year old whacker bragged about running a motorcyclist off the road. The story went viral within 48 hours on almost every motorcycle forum. Needless to say, he got called out and publicly exposed, criminal record, home address, car registrations ... just about every facet of his pathetic life was totally exposed. He was still living home with mommy and daddy and they weren't very pleased with the extra attention that junior brought to their lives and home. All hit and run motorcycle accidents within a 5 state area were investigated and it finally turned out he was just running his mouth to get some much needed attention he wasn't getting from his parents. He really P.O'ed some people that possessed some major geeking skills. When those people put their mind to it, it was incredible the stuff that came out. There was even a website totally dedicated to discrediting and exposing him. I almost ... almost felt sorry for him. -

Since the thread is officially 'jacked ... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A rattlesnake bites Johnny on his John Henry. “Don’t panic,” says Johnny’s camping pal, “My trusty medical manual’ll tell us what to do.” (The manual prescribes cutting an X on the snake bite, then sucking out the venom.) The befuddled pal keeps re-reading the advice to himself. “What’s it say?” asks Johnny, panicking. “Says you’re going to die.”

+10,000 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Note the fat body going down to the tail on the venomous ones. Most rat and vermin snakes have long slender tails. Next thing to look for is a triangular head. Call animal control and let them deal with it. Tell them you got a poisonous snake in your house, they will come quickly ... If you live out in the country, the least you could do is recognize the good ones from the bad ones. Good ones are great around the house and barn. Some of them even eat venomous snakes as part of their diet.

Not a copperhead ... http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=Copperhead+snake+pictures&gbv=2&aq=f&oq= If you kill every snake you meet and let God sort them out, you are doing yourself a disservice. Recognizing venomous snakes and their characteristics should be something taught to every 8 year old child. My dad spent quite a bit of time with us making sure that we understood our surroundings and the critters that live in it. I always took it for granted that everyone was taught like that. That being said, I would kill a venomous snake in my basement without hesitation. If I had any doubt, I would trap it with a mop and bag it. ( My mom used to get mad at me cause I kept blacksnakes in my dresser drawers when I was a kid! <evil grin> )

Snopes won't touch it ... snopes.com: Congress Wrongdoings Too vague and full of innuendos. They won't call it false either acknowledging their less than stellar reputations. They forgot to mention my "favorite" liberal ... ted kennedy (lack of CAPS intentional) No mention of MaryJo Kopechne.

I almost bought several Kimbers, all used. Every time I shot them, I won't buy a used gun without trying it out, especially the rep that Kimber has. Every one of them has had at least two "incidents" out of a box of 50 rounds. I was accused of "limp wristing" it by two owners and I had them finish off the box with at least one "incident" happening to them. Saw a used Sig GSR in a show case, put two boxes through it and bought it. Many of the standard amenities on the GSR come as expensive "custom" options on the Kimber. I paid half the price of a Kimber and I trust it with my life. I don't believe in any gun that has to have 500 to 1000 rounds through it to "break in". They are accurate, they feel good to the hand and point like a laser. I still can't bring myself to trust them.

Saw the elusive Carry Badge!!!! (well about 6)

I would think that there is a fine line between wearing that badge and having some idiot over react and get a "impersonating a police officer" charge laid on you. There is not a LEO out there that would condone this. I believe the term "whacker" applies here. http://www.policeposers.com/whacker.php Do these badge carriers also drive crown vic's? -
I got its bigger brother with the 4 inch (?) barrel. Phenomenal sights and handles great. Much more accurate than I am.

Jim Zumbo from Outdoor Life found out that not only NRA members do not support AWB's ... also the majority of gun owners in the US. The Outdoor Life article went viral within 48 hours and the magazine's management "reluctantly" fired Jim Zumbo "for the time being." The political arena is only now starting to respect the inherent forces unleashed by the internet that confront lies, deceptions and injustices almost immediately with reprecussions that are reverbrating in legislative and industry arenas. These forums are important. It does not matter if they are firearms, auto, motorcycle, aquarium, gardening or whatever. These forces, if we keep them well informed, well articulated can blunt the anti-gun and anti-second amendment agenda quite effectively. The truth has always been a very effective weapon against disinformation, propaganda and lies. That is why I participate. And that is why we all should participate. Word of caution ... I can still find posts I created in the mid-1990's Being labled an idiot can be a permanent record.

The pendulum will swing back in the other direction eventually. People will need cash more than they need ammo ... unless civilization as a whole goes through a melt down.

I pay 65 bucks 4 times a year and they spray every time. They also analyze "new" activity and let me know about it so I can stay on top. I can call them anytime for a respray at no charge if that activity crops up. It is a local show, not a national chain. Service is outstanding.

Incorporation of 2nd Amendment
Currently replied to Tim Nunan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The Ninth Circuit Court has a long history of having their decisions reversed by the Supreme Court. More money and more effort to be spent in asserting ones rights in Kalifornication. The lawyers always win. -
It has gone viral, less than 24 hours and almost 1100 comments.

Thanks for that lead, I got a job for him.
