  1. Hero-Gear has over 7500 square feet under roof. While we have a very sophisticated alarm system which includes LOT AND LOTS of cameras all feeding to a DVR, it is impossible to have every single angle and view under surveillance at all times. It is even harder to combat theft when the item stolen is removed from my personal office.
  2. The sad thing is, we pretty much KNOW who stole the gun. They had been a trusted friend of the shop for four years, which is how they managed to get into my office unattended and steal the gun.
  3. STOLEN GUN ALERT The following gun was stolen from Hero-Gear: Springfield Champion 1911 Stainless Steel Bobtail Serial Number: N339591 This gun was stolen out of the owners office, and we suspect it was stolen by someone that knew the Hero-Gear staff very well. This is very disappointing. I am asking all TGO members to be on the lookout for this gun. Its a unique gun, so it should be easy to spot at gunshows, shops, etc. No questions asked if the gun is returned. If the gun is not returned, and we catch the thief, we WILL push for felony charges.
  4. I am getting ready to switch phones, and I was wondering if anyone had experience with the Droid X? Background: I carry two phones: Blackberry Tour- Primary business/email device, phone iPhone 3G- Business device for my other business, media toy What I like: Blackberry- The email support (pop3) is great for my needs iPhone- The apps, media support What i hate: Blackberry- No cool apps or other "fun" features. iPhone- I live in an area without 3G support. I absolutely HATE the data coverage, and I am always in Extended Area mode except for when I travel to a metro area. My Plan: The plan is to utilize the Droid X in place of my Blackberry as a primary phone, email device, and app platform. I also plan to dump the iPhone for a good old fashioned (non-smart) phone with no data support. So the question I have is; After years and years of Blackberry phones, am I going to be happy with this change? Is anyone currently using the Droid X? If so, reviews? Thanks in advance!
  5. No. I was also not wearing my 5 point seat harness. Was I a complete retard? yep! I am literally luck to be alive? yep! Will I ever drive that thing again without my harness on? NOPE!
  6. "At Hero-Gear, we want your business so bad, we are willing to literally break our neck for you!"
  7. ....yep, broke the C7. Details: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/hero-gear-llc/44478-official-joe-didnt-kill-himself-sale-crazy-deals-may-kill-him.html
  8. Dedicated to all my Ninjas....
  9. I have one in stock for sale. We purchased it from Alan himself when he was associated with Yankee Hill. I believe our price for the COMPLETE rifle (its an SBR) is only 1700.00 Either way, feel free to come by and put your hands on it, and decide if you want to go this route. Added: Damn Kurt, I didnt even realize that you were the one posting the question. You have first dibs on this, but its not going to last long once I post it up for sale.
  10. You sir, are a no-go. You WILL NOT be approved for a FFL if you let the ATF Inspector know during the site interview that this is the reason for your wanting an FFL.
  11. No. Those are specific to my store. The stickers I am thinking about doing are just the circle.

  13. yeah, I need to work on getting a hi-res image of one of our 1911s to put on there. And yes, it WILL be Condition 1
  14. I thought it had been legal (and encouraged) in the Navy for years.... (I realize this picture is of Navy SEALs, but its hard to distinguish their pictures from other gay Sailor pictures...)
  15. Thanks for the feedback. A few changes I would make before offering it to other business owners: 1. The size would be ~ 8" in diameter 2. Add a small website (WWW.TNHCP.COM) at the bottom which would be an information portal on how to obtain your TN HCP, useful info regarding the TN HCP, do's and don'ts, carry tips and advice, and other pro carry reference sites. Estimated cost/requested donation would be 5 bucks per sticker. Any money received would go towards supporting TNHCP.COM and the cost of the stickers.
  16. We had this graphics made up for the front door at Hero-Gear. I was thinking about having some made and offering them to business owners that want to make their position clear on HCP. I would ask for a donation of some sort to cover the cost of producing and shipping them, but im not really looking at these being a "profit center" for us. Thoughts?

I should have more in by Wed.
  18. The main reason why I loved it when SHOT Show is in Orlando Welcome to Rachels.com
  19. We have Griffin (actually Hearing Protection LLC) cans in stock. The owners are two bothers, both 11Bs with a couple tours in Iraq. Good guys. (I believe) they are blowing their older design cans out at crackhead prices because they changed the baffle stack design and a few other features. If you want put hands on their products, we have their new QD .22 cans, and examples of both original 5.56 and 7.62 cans
  20. Those are all strong selling points to me as a buyer... (but then, im a 1911 guy )
  21. But the OP is correct; to the average, non "gun enthusiast", looking for a handgun, there is usually zero brand recognition in the CZ name. EVERYONE has heard of Glock in these parts.....CZ? not so much.
  22. We also have a ton of CZs in stock, to include 75s, P01s, and Tac Sports. What I find very interesting, is the number of USED CZs we take in on trade. I cant figure out why so many experienced shoots have traded in 75s and P01s in the past 6 months. What didnt they like about them? *I love my Tac Sport btw....best non-1911 trigger available!
  23. Thats for the support guys. The June date is a bust. We are still committed to putting on a totally kickass event, one that is very different than what is currently offered. Its obvious that we need to find a better venue, in a larger metro area. We are looking for one that provides the space and amenities we need, while keeping an eye on overhead. I want to get this project fired up as quickly as possible, but as my old Sergeant Major said; "...don't rush to failure..." *I have several TGO members actively looking for "the perfect place" for us to move the Expo to. Stay tuned.
  24. Thats great! While I cant commit to traveling over there to help pick up trash, I would like to donate some ANSI II Hi-Vis safety vests to the project. Is there any need for these? if so, tell me how many you need, and where to ship them.
  25. Depending how I am dressed, I will rotate between: Ed Brown 1911 HK P7 S&W 340PD *The P7 and the 340PD see a lot of action in the summer
