Proton started off as an encrypted email service, and has become the top email service amongst privacy enthusiast. They started the vpn a few years ago and you can, for a lack of better words “bundle” the vpn and email service. The company is based in Switzerland which has some of the strictest privacy laws. It’s all open source. Their vpn has a lot of cool features. Private Internet access is secure, cheap, fast, and has lots of servers. Good customer service. You can get a dedicated ip. At the end of the day I’m sure they are all better than nothing, I just try to pay attention to what the experts in the security/privacy industry use.

I live in Townsend. I hike a good bit, fly fish, ride/walk the greenway. There’s some new mountain bike trails. 2-3 decent places to eat. Very quiet this time of year, but weekends can still get a little crowded. Driving Cades Cove is horrible these days, I’ve heard it can take up to 4 hours. The tubing businesses boom during the summer. There’s seasonal events, spring festival, fall festival, hot air balloon festival, etc.

Good news overall for TN/ EAST TN, but traffic is already abysmal in Blount County. I moved from the Nashville area a few years ago and traffic, and housing supply/demand has progressively gotten worse each year. I guess the secret is out on the Knoxville area. Oh well. Hopefully they make appropriate infrastructure changes to the area to absorb the continued growth, unlike Nashville.

I am going to get up to Buds soon, (assume they have the best selection up here) and see what they have. Really interested in the 686 after looking it up.

Completely pointless gun these days with 2 round capacity but I've wanted one for awhile now.. Looking to upgrade my clay gun to something a little higher end, and a nice heirloom shotgun I could give to my son one day. Obviously there's the citori's, but I've really been eying the winchester 101 if I can find one in stock. Looking to spend under 2k, preferentially around 1500. Looking for suggestions, thanks.

Signed up earlier this month, finally decided to post. From Mid TN, but moved to the Knoxville area a few years ago. Former LE 8+ years, did some time in the Marine Reserves. Although I carried a gun(s) for most my adult life, I'm kind of at a point now I have more interest in other hobbies, so my goal the past few years has been more bare minimum needs/ quality over quantity in terms of firearms. I still enjoy shooting, especially non-tactical stuff like sporting clays.
