I am a registered Libertarian, but I am from the Neil Boortz/Dr. Walter Williams wing. Support the war against Islamic Terrorist, Cut Spending, Cut Taxes, Reduce the size of government while increasing the size of the military. Yes, the main Libertarian party has gone off the deep end to be isolationist. So far the only GOP'er I will vote for is Thompson. The Libertarian candidates are a broader field than the GOP field this cycle and each is making it even harder to vote for them.

I am looking for the weighted base, bipod or tripod that extends up to three or five feet. The standard tripod spreads out too much.

I have looked at several spotting scope stands but none of the descriptions online provide enough information for me to make a choice. Does anyone have a spotting scope stand that they would recommend? I have gotten feed back that 5/8" is better than 1/2" and so I figured 3/4" would be even better. But I have not heard whether bipod or tripod is better. I have seen stand by Creedmore and Champions Choice and few others. Please let me know any feed back on the stand you are using.

I will know more on the 15th of September. It never hurts to ask...

Your right, there have been too many people shot because they had nothing on them to steal. I am just amazed how pathetic criminals are. For some reason I am still surprised people can be so worthless.

I carry a fire extinguisher in the car, a good blast of that to the face can incapacitate someone and the tank makes a nice club. But then its not something to carry into a restaurant or sporting event. But then I live over a restaurant and I don't go to sporting events much. It can keep someone from reaching into the car at an intersection though.

Shot for 3 bucks... Another good reason to always carry...

My only question is about reliability. The M14 is very very reliable and rarely jams. So the SR25/MK11 uses the same action as the AR's. My AR has not jammed, yet, but I have seen many, many jams at the range. Have they worked out the reliability issues?
